Our journey begins at North Shields, where we navigate out of the Tyne, past the iconic Marston Rock and Souter Lighthouse, setting our course southward.

Top Tip for lobster pots, there are thousands off the coast of Spain and Portugal! Use your radar as they should show up. From what I've seen they will show up as a blip that you will recognise after a bit of practice. A yacht sailing up the coast of the North East recently lost its rudder after it was hit by a loose lobster pot, they had to be rescued by the RNLI

Yes, a couple of Dutch fellas, they caught our lines in Whitby!
The wooo wooos sound like accessory bearings/belts to me (alternator, etc). Put a screwdriver to the housing near the bearings (carefully) (or mechanics stethoscope if you have one on board) to try and pinpoint it.
Funnily enough our Uncle Ron was telling us the other day to use a screwdriver in that fashion! Thanks very much for the tip!

OOOH 1st comment ! Well Whitby for fish and chips? Lots to choose from.Looking fwd to that! As for the MONKEY, it is a fabulous northern tale which ever version you favour. But it always seems to start with a monkey being shipwrecked the main thing is that it was thought to be a Frenchman!
The residents of Whitby are for sure spoiled for choice!
Whitby is nice but I much prefer runwick bay, the sprinter van that I live in fit in one bay perfectly so that when the back doors where open it was like a postcard view but nobody could walk past or upto us, it was also only a few steps from an awesome coffee shop!
