There has always been an element of 'the Emporer's new clothes' (if you remember the Danny Kay song) in our industry and many film makers are more concerned with what their peers will say rather than what their viewers want. These days most cameras are good enough, it's not about the gear anymore, it's about what you MAKE with it all!!!...
The purpose of cinema camera is simple, is the camera is used to shoot film that go in cinema. With a team and with all what it's implied. Ideally, in a practical way.
If yes it is, if no it's not.
That why alexa, red ect... are used.
A cinema camera, today, is the camera they used to shoot the movie. Nothing else matters. There isn't one single digital camera in production today that puts out an image READY for cinema presentation, so no camera is a cinema camera. People like to believe that more important is the lens selection or the lighting, but somehow always forget about post or put it way down on their list. IMHO post work is what makes an image ready for cinema release so the most valuable asset in the movie businesses isn't something material but the knowledge and talent to make something our brains immediately identify as a "movie". In this context, the cinema camera debate is just silly.
To me its 100% a camera worthy of being a cinema camera. I think what we called "cinema cameras" 10 years ago is different today and were not admitting to it.

Is shutter angle not just a tool to adjust shutter related to the framerate? I really don't get why people are crying over this tbh
It is. It’s definitely not going to change anything related to the final image but does make changing frame rates a little quicker (you don’t also have to change your shutter speed if you can just leave it set to 180 for example).
Any camera that calls itself a "cinema camera" and does not have a simple ass software feature like shutter angle is just sad. Sony literally does not give a fuck about their paying customers.
I agree, shutter anble is a left over from early film camera days and has now become irrelevant. Shutter angle is for people who do not know what shutter speed is and how to use it as a tool.

The word "cinematic" in regards to footage or cameras has become a meaningless term. It gets mentioned VERY loosely. People who push it to describe anything seem to mainly be just trying to justify something to themselves or impress regular people on social media.

I love gear a lot. but if you're telling the story in an interesting way, nobody will ask what you're shooting on.
Definitely! And if you can use the constraints of your gear to help the story in a creative way that’s even better!
agree. I think oftentimes the people that would ask are fellow filmmakers lol which is cool, but for the vast majority of an audience they're looking at the product not the tools
