This shabby grungy lapbook Junk Journal- Olive - includes 3 journals for your writing as well as lots of interactive elements throughout. She is a completely unique, one of a kind creation entirely handmade by myself, using recycled and thrifted papers, fabrics, laces
and original vintage ephemera.
Cover is made from a couple of hardback books covered with wadding and layers of fabrics and vintage laces and a secret tuck spot on the front, a heart constructed by layers of vintage music papers and sewing has an original photograph of a lady we are calling Olive.
Inside you will find many interactive elements such as flips, secret journaling spots and fold outs plus a lot of shabby and grungy pages, pockets, cards and tags
Pages have stamping, stencils, hand sewing and some are deliberately creased, ripped and tatty to give that old feel to the book
Size is 9” by 6” with a 4” spine and she opens out to a huge 32”

Oh my goodness! I have been in a crafting slump lately.....but this journal has so many ideas, full of grungy goodness.....just what I needed to send me back to my studio! This journal is gorgeous! Early morning here in Michigan and I plan on taking some time to watch more of your videos to get more inspiration, then spending some time creating. Took about 2 minutes into this video to hit the subscribe button! Love reusing "junk" to make journals!

This is beautiful even a year later it’s just as beautiful, I love all the little writing spots and it looks very like u just want to stroke it 😂 I love the little visitor 😂 mine does that every time I start to craft especially if I’m getting the paints out lol she’s right on top of my work lol xx

Carol, this is just OUTSTANDING! I absolutely love it. So many flips, pockets, tucks, etc. and the best grunge!!!!! I might have to attempt this but lots and lots of time on this one for sure! Did you follow any tutorial? Thanks for sharing!!!!
Thank you so much Anne yes she took quite a lot of figuring out, all part of the fun 😊I still forgot a closure lol. I got my inspiration from Nik the Booksmith for parts of the Lapbook like the concertina and fold out. Mostly just sat and what if I do this here trial and error 😂
