Hi Carol, you can also use laminate sheets after being laminated. Ive been making stencils for my gel plate. I love making them. Also Amazon sell whale tail punches for £15 and they work really well 😊

Hi, Carol! These are brilliant! I can see how these would be useful for other crafts, like our hand-stitching, or applique or quilting. Cookie cutters are a good source for simplified designs like hearts, animals, etc., and if I make templates from them, then I won’t need to hunt through the kitchen drawers next time I want a heart shape or a dog shape. Your suggestion to use plastic from packaging, file folders, or other unused items at home, is really clever. I’ve purchased “quilters’ template plastic” before, and it was pretty costly. Your ideas shown here would cost almost nothing. 😃👍👍👍 I do have another idea to share: you can make a template easier to see and keep track of, by putting a decorative sticker or piece of washi tape on it. Then you can see it when it lands on the floor or gets mixed up with your other craft supplies. Cheers! from Lynn in Hallsville, Missouri USA
