Ok I just purchased this. I couldn’t help myself. lol it struck a cord with me and since it is ring bound I figured I could add my own pages as well since I also make my own journals. This one just rang out to me and reminded me of my Grandmother so much. I’ve admire your journals so much because they are works of art. And I am an avid collector of all things creative. This is a beautiful elegant timeless journal and I promise it will be cherished. And you can go on to make many more.❤ so happy to be able to be the keeper of this wonderful piece. 😊❤

She was a spectacular woman and she reminds me so much of Annabelle. I will treasure her for years and eventually pass her on to my daughter❤️
I really envy you; you will have so much fun with this gorgeous journal.
Firstly, what an absolutely gorgeous journal. Secondly, I had to laugh when you said you put a price on it that was ridiculous so that you could keep it. :-) My mother-n-law is a bead artist and she makes these gorgeous beaded showpieces and she made one that she absolutely loved. So she decided to charge 3x what she normally does, thinking nobody would buy it. Somebody bought it within 24 hours. She was so upset about it that she asked the person who bought it if she could wear it for a month before sending it to them, and they agreed! :-) How hilarious is that? I'm glad it worked out for all involved. (Incidentally, I went and checked to see what you charged for this and I think it's worth every penny, even though I would not have been able to spend that amount. But so many journals I see on TH-cam I think are way underpriced. The amount of time and effort, not to mention supplies, that go into them, honestly, they should be sold for thousands, because that's probably what we've put into them!!!) Have a lovely day. xoxo

I think she is absolutely amazing, I love all the details hidden and secret spots, all the laces and layers. All the ways I love creating and even though I love color the neutrals are awesome. Tyfs she is just beautiful.
Aaaw thank you so much 🥰 yes I love colour too, but I'm currently working on a red one and I tell ya, I'm struggling! I guess because im trying to continually push myself out of my comfort zone, and the the bright colour is certainly a challenge! 😤

I'm abit late with my comment, but, oh my, oh my, Arabella to me was the true essence of a journal!. The extent of creative skill you have used was astounding. So special. Love to see our NZ ephemera coming thru, it warms my heart and takes me back to my childhood when I clutched that sixpence cos I knew I could buy an iceblock and have tuppence left for lollies. Superb Sara-Lee. Also, Margaret has a good eye and there is a place for her journals.

I love the ring bound journal. I have made one. It's easier to design each page. You dont have to worry about the weight of the page, and of course, it is easier to write in. I'm attracted to the vintage colors as well. Lucky lady who bought it!

Love it. And Perhaps I'm too new to this so I haven't heard any anti-ring bound stuff, but I like any kind of binding. The benefit of this is that you wouldn't need a writing board in it to use any of the surfaces since you could remove the page you wanted to record mysterious thoughts on. And as a maker, how handy to be able to say, 'Hey! I could have done XYZ here!' No problem! Remove, add finishing touches, put back in book. Two thumbs up!

I know, like I said in the video I wanted to keep her for myself so I put a price on her that I thought was ridiculous, but also a price that if she sold, I couldn't argue as it would allow me to continue what I love doing. Someone loved her so much that they just had to have her, and it made it a lot easier to let her go. Margaret (the new owner) is going to fill her with wonderful memories and use Arabella as an heirloom, passed down to her daughter, I couldn't ask for more than that 🥰

Speechless I am. Speechless and in awe. I love all your journals because they are so made with love and expertise. And I love Arabella because she is rich and exquisitely made. Again and like all of your journals. Have to repeat myself and not am sorry. Arabella is so appealing to me because of the neutral colors that underline the already noble appearance and, of course, because of the precious content! I think in Arabella’s case the ring-binding is daring because of the more modern touch BUT perhaps it is the contrast that makes it work so beautifully. Chapeau! Another masterpiece indeed!
