🎥 How to Eat Mangosteen: • How To Eat MANGOSTEEN!...
Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand - Welcome to Phatthalung (พัทลุง), which is one of my favorite provinces in Thailand. So laid back, people are cool, and the food is delicious. Today for lunch we went to the main vegetarian (actually vegan) restaurant in Phatthalung and they serve delicious food.
Wan Chat Restaurant (ร้านเจอาหารต้นฉัตร goo.gl/maps/AFsiHcR1Z5HCUgoq8) - Phatthalung is so laid back in fact that they just set up a buffet of Southern Thai food and you serve yourself. There was a mixture of different dishes, and I chose a southern Thai sour turmeric curry with jackfruit seeds, a coconut milk curry with pumpkin and eggplant, and bitter melon with tofu. Food was delicious, homecooked, spicy, and flavorful. And for sure my favorite dish was the jackfruit seed curry.
    Price - 30 THB ($1) per plate
Highly recommended Thai vegetarian food when you’re in Phatthalung (พัทลุง), Thailand!
Thank you for watching and hope you’re having a fantastic day!

I swear, Thailand and India are the two places I think I could be 100% Vegetarian and/or Vegan and not miss meat at all.

As a plant based person, I love watching your regular videos and do so on the regular. But man, can I just say how INCREDIBLE this new channel is?? Really thankful and so impressed with your ever expanding food journey. Thank you for this wonderful plant based channel / healthy forward channel. I’m so happy to be subscribed to all of your channels.

When I traveled through Thailand I found it a good idea to alternate between seafood, Fried meats, and vegetarian meals. I had a lot more energy.
The people and food are amazing.

I'm always amazed at how Thai food is so creative in using every single element of a plant or animal, to create different flavorful dishes. It's always nice to see Mark visit these restaurants and taste different foods for those of us who may never have a chance to go to Thailand and taste these foods too.

This is something that has always kept me amazed as well, always something to keep on learning. Even after 12 years in Thailand, so many dishes, combinations, ingredients I've never tried!

I'm glad that Mark has decided to put plant based food under the spotlight with this channel. Unfortunately, other big food vloggers are still focusing on meat even if most of our calories globally come from plants. I'm not 100 %plant based but my diet is geared towards plant based food. With more focus on the amazing diversity of plant based options I think more and more people will appreciate this food category more and select it often when out and about with friends.

I am sri lankan and we also have Jack fruit seed curry. I live in USA-MD and we buy ripe jack at our local Asian store and we save the jack seeds. You can just boil them and eat plain. It a very tasty carb.

This is cool! I cook these same foods in California I impressed my friends a few months ago when they brought me a jackfruit and I cooked the seeds, because they had no idea they were edible. I also like bitter melon, when they are available, and pea eggplants, the pea eggplants are impossible to find in the USA unless you're in Chinatown so I plan to grow some this year. And that's the other reason your video is cool, most people in the USA think raw eggplant is poisonous, it is but only slightly so yes it's safe to eat a little bit of it raw.
