Wow yeah! I've loved this for a long time. Like the nightshift, good tribute. I didn't come here for this. Actually "lido shuffle" I nearly passed out with the great Arthur Conley smash hit. Now they're throwing " mustang sally" at me. My mum is called Sally. What next? Is a northern lass got my music under some kind of surveillance? Whenever I listen to you Sally I hook up my Bose system to my computer and spread your music throughout my whole house and sometimes find myself dancing in the kitchen to your voice. Your son is very lucky who has a mom who fills his life with music.

The first memory I have of this song is a VHS tape of top of the pops 2 which my dad recorded when I was about 3. Since then, as an adult I have the song as an MP3 and listen to it regularly, and music from the 50's/60's is all I listen to. I must say, You do not disappoint. Absolutely love this song and you sing it well, love your channel. Keep up the good work

I remember in 1967, my senior year in high School, while parked out with my girlfriend, listening to the radio and this song would come on the radio, I wanted to jump out of the car onto a set of drums and play the song. In 1985 or 1986, I was setting in a big club in Panama City, Florida with my Mother and two sisters. As the singer was at the bar behind us, I told my Mother, “I like ‘Sweet Soul of Music’. but this Band could not play it.” When the band started, after the break, they played “Sweet Soul of Music” just like the record. I went to the singer and gave him $20.00. Wow! It was great.

Hatter's Hall was a club for teens located in Hatboro, PA. The owner was a nice guy who wanted to create a special place for young teens to enjoy music, dancing, - a special place where teens could gather together.
The trio with which I was a member was invited to the club to get a feel of the atmosphere and see if our style of music would fit in.
There was a local Dee Jay playing the most recent top tunes. He played "Sweet Soul Music" OVER 20 TIMES that evening. Well, after enduring his antics; I never wanted to hear the song again for the rest of my life! I eventually changed my mind - It is a great song and you bring to light wonderful memories of my teenage years.

Sarah, I feel ive been here before, and if so, im sorry im double--clutching you, but this song is so fantastic that two separate likes shouldn't hurt it much at all. I especially love the way you shout "ha" somewhere in the middle of the song, and that "ha" always pierces my heart and so definitely deserves a reprise like from me!!xx
