Marquesitas have gain so much popularity, it used to be a local thing, now everyone knows about it when they visit the Yucatan Peninsula 🤭, you must try it when you get here. Thank you so much guys, we wanted to make this vlog a bit more casual. hahaha no way if we had been in a police car, we might have not had any of this footage 🤭. OMG myself (Geo) took me like 2 days to get better, Simone was feeling fine the next morning, to be fair she had that tamal by herself and I spent my time chatting with people that I forgot eating something, bad choice 😂. Don’t really care much for regular nightclubs but I do want to hit some Bachata socials in PDC and this video is still very helpful for navigating the logistics of nightlife in general. My main concern is getting home from these socials at 1am after they end. Some of them are a 5 minute walk from my spot but I know enough not to walk late at night in PDC, probably will take a cab.
Some of those shows at CB do look interesting though.
Hola Owen, yes we are planning to visit more of the salsa, and more latin music dancing clubs. Playa is safe but at night we suggest take the precautions you will in any city 🙏🏼. Coco bongo is a place we highly recommended if you have the chance 💯. Thanks for watching and commenting 🤩🙏🏼

Thank you so much for watching our video and commenting. Yes, there is a place at the 5th called Chapultepec where each item is 25 pesos (about $1.3 USD).
We highly recommend to exchange USD into Peso, we can recommend any San Jorge Exchange Place, they usually offer the best rate. Otherwise there's is a place called Elektra, but there are few stores and there are not stores close by the 5th Avenue.🙏🤩
The two of you make people all over the world like Mexico. Iam a non drinker and a non smoker. I am an American male and I never used drugs. I like seeing all of the police because that makes things very safe.

is worth due to the comfort and the better spirits you can get, also you have a preferred access, so basically you get to the club straight away, and you do not have to queue like you were to do with the regular pass!
Definitely you will get a better view of the show, as you could see in our video we were basically watching it facing our heads up most of the time, and in the VIP section you have it at your eye level. 🤗

The police shut down all the clubs at 2AM?! When did this start and why?!
Hola Jayson ☺️☺️ well, the police don’t necessarily shut the clubs down, the clubs close on their own, but they get everyone to move off of the 5th avenue and the 12th street (where all the clubs are). We really don’t go out often, so we can’t say exactly when this started happening, but due to Cvd regulations, the new operating hours of business has been set at 2am 🥲 a few years ago, Coco Bongo only used to start at 11pm and ended at 3am, and then you could still go to the clubs on the 12th street until around 6am 👀 we’re not sure if things will ever go back to the way that they were🤷♀️ if you’re headed down to Playa soon, we hope you have a great time 🙌

Would you say Coco Bongo is safe for solo female travelers??
Hola Danielle 😃 Yes, it felt like a very safe and controlled environment. We ended up making a few friends while we were there so by the time the night was over, we were walking out of the club in a group. I would just recommend staying on the 5th avenue when its late night and making sure there are always a few people around. Although the taxi drivers that are parked on the 5th charge more than the ones stationed further away from the tourist zone, its definitely worth just paying a bit more and grabbing a taxi to your hotel directly from the 5th. We've definitely seen quite a few solo female travelers in this region, so you won't be alone 🙌🙌 We hope you have an absolute blast down here in Playa 🤩😃☀️🌴
if we are staying in Akumal, but want to experience the Playa night life....What would be a safe way to do so?
Hey Kutz ☺️☺️ the only option would actually be taxi (there is no Uber in The Riviera Maya) - but we just have to warn you that they will probably try to rip you off as they run a monopoly in that region of MX and there is no regulation🙃🙃 usually, it costs around 800 pesos / US$45 to get from Playa to Cancun during normal hours (just to give you a rough idea). But anything after around 10pm, they just go nuts with the increase on their fares 💸 but, if you’re not worried about what it will cost - taking a taxi between the two locations should be perfectly safe ☺️☺️ we hope you have a wonderful time on vacation 🙌 don’t forget to try a marquesita while you’re down here 🤩
