  • The Lepus is extremely compact, mag-in-handle, full auto blaster designed by JackRabbitNerfer. Rate-of-fire range is 5-50 darts per second. The Lepus is a great secondary blaster.

    **Remember to ALWAYS support (or try to support) the motors when pressing down on the flywheels. You could damage your cage if the motors aren't supported adequately!** Good luck with the build!!

    EXCELLENT! It's obvious that you've done this a few times! As a thanks, I'll be ordering the hardware kit from FrontLine. Postscript: I got the 5 darts/sec motor and although fun, I regret not going over the top with the 50 darts/sec motor. The good news is that the motors can be made to be easily interchangeable.

    Y'all. If you don't have a vise like that, you can use a bar clamp. The jaws of a ratcheting squeeze-type bar clamp are usually plenty wide to hold the 2 switches in place while you curse at the soldering.

    If you plan on building one of these make sure to wire the pusher motor exactly the same way he does in the video. Otherwise, the motor will spin in the opposite direction and jam up against the magazine.

    weird question: I noticed that there were some holes behind the pusher wheel for what looked like provisions for a switch at around 33:46 . would I need an additional switch and wiring if I wanted to build a say 8rps build to make sure the pusher resets its position? thanks in advance

    You guys ever have the worker wheels be ridiculously tight on the motor shafts? I had to do battle with mine for like an hour last night and one still isn't quite on all the way.

    I’ve purchased a kit to build, and I am looking into a new soldering iron. I was wondering what type you used in this video?

    • @WrexShepard
      @WrexShepard 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not sure what he's using, but if you want a good recommendation you can't go wrong with, get a hakko fx-888d. They're very reliable and tried and tested. The Weller we-1010na is also a really solid benchtop setup.
      For a nice small portable one but still dope AF, look into the TS80-P. It runs off a LiPo or USB-C, heats up in like 2 seconds, and cools down on it's own to a standby temp rapidly when you set it down so you won't burn yourself as easily.
      Personally the TS-80P is incredible but not for your ONLY soldering iron. I'd go with the hakko for your main rig.

    It would be nice if there was a note in the kit saying how long to properly cut these wires into 3 pieces so I can have the proper length instead of having to feed it in and mess with it. There’s not much wire to play with either. Either way, nice video thank you.

Where to cut the wire that is included in the kit? I'm pretty sure I messed up my lengths from following this video lol. Not a big deal because I have wire but would be good to know for other people

    Ok, ive built it and everything seems fine, but when i connect the battery and click the switches nothing works. Ive taken it apart about 3 times and checked everything, I’ve re-done it 2 times. Im not sure what the problem is. I think its the batt. Ive used the lipo tester and it says all the cells are about 4.20 the only thing i can think is if i need to charge them more?? Any ideas? Im stuck :(

    • @BaddDukk
      @BaddDukk 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Check continuity through your rev switch - make sure the common and n/o connect when the switch is pushed. It may have been overheated while soldering it and is pooched.

    • @gabrialpetersen914
      @gabrialpetersen914 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do not charge a LiPo battery over 4.2V it can damage them. There’s another issue somewhere forsure.
