    **Remember to ALWAYS support (or try to support) the motors when pressing down on the flywheels. You could damage your cage if the motors aren't supported adequately!** Good luck with the build!!

    How did I end up here? I don’t even have a 3D printer.
    Great tutorial

    When I assembled my viper I fed the wires through the other side of the wire channel before soldering the motors. It was much easier feeding them straight through the hinge side and pulling the excess wire back out once everything was soldered than shoving them through the cage side hole and trying to turn the floppy silicone wire then shoving it down a few mm at a time. Alternatively one could cut the channel open then epoxy the wires in place.

      Thanks! I did the same thing and it worked great, especially since it was a full length viper.

    As much as I appreciate your service and willingness to make a guide video. This is needs some work. No explanation of which screw used where, no indication wether the dot on the motors is relevant, no mention of what battery is used for testing. Just general lack.

      You also didn’t link the flywheel tool you said you would.

      For anyone else seeing this, I used a 1/8’ drill bit and the rods fit was significantly tighter than his was. Similarly it seems the one I was given was too long as it still had 5-6 mm poking out one side and was about to bust through the other. Still useable but if you have any concerns about cracking I’d go for the 9/64’.

    Can we use mk8 pigeon cage for motor spacing

    • @FrontlineFoamBlasters
      @FrontlineFoamBlasters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just Say Jerry You can indeed. The viper and pigeon share similar geometry.

    what is the break lock pin called. I have no idea where to find a pin like that

    • @desmaamv
      @desmaamv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      did you find it? im still looking and I don't really want to buy a fifty dollar kit just cause I cant find the name of a pin

    • @Aaronivoify
      @Aaronivoify 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I use a ordnery nail that was the same thickness. The up size of using a nail is that you can have it stick out of the hole while you assembly to blaster just encase you mess up. Then when you are finished you can cut it to size. I bought a premade one and I can't tell the difference.

    • @mleinart
      @mleinart 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a stainless steel dowel pin. I used 3mm x 18mm, though i had to enlargen the hole very slightly with an 3mm drill bit to get it to go in without force

    Is it not possible to print the flywheels?

    • @FrontlineFoamBlasters
      @FrontlineFoamBlasters  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is *possible*, but since these flywheels are actually spinning at greater RPMs than most flywheels, inconsistencies would be more noticable and harder to correct as well.
