Your videos are all well designed and valuable. Thanks, Ray.
You're welcome
Solid insights, didn't think of the fried food and old oil. Cheers.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the info. Always enjoy your videos and your low key approach 😊
You're welcome.
Good advice all round. The street food one is a good one to keep in mind, especially for visitors … 🎉
Especially for diabetics, people with heart disease, etc.
All good points, thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I just moved to Hua Hin f and find your comments about life in Thailand very insightful since I still have a lot to learn. I am still looking for a school to learn Thai. I also never thought about limiting the amount of street food that I eat, but it makes sense. I find that having patience, a warm smile, and using Google Translate has made things a little easier.
We all have a lot to learn, Ed. You're right, patience and a smile along with accepting the way things are makes life much simpler.
Nice work Ray!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thumbs up 👍 Ray
Sound clear advice... 👍
Thank you
Nice info Ray
Thanks
HI Ray thank you for the video I enjoy your channel
Thank you
Great points so far haven't had any really negative issues other than learning more of the Thai language...
At least you're trying, keep at it.
Good info thanks
My pleasure.
Thanks Ray 👍👍🦘🦘
Very interesting. God only knows I've tried and tried to learn the local lingo. But I just can't seem to make any headway after numerous attempts and a keen will to learn :(
At least you've tried. That's better than many.
Been there seen it all & eventualy my skin has turned to tortoise density, cook my own food, wash my own gear, manage my own money, have a great lady of maturity & a daughter we have, its been 20 years now, been back for trips to UK & wont be going again its become a sad place to be with miserable faces walking past, "carry on vloging mate" LLOYD'Y
You seem to have your life nicely bundled and wrapped in common sense. Thanks for your support.
Very good information.
Glad it was helpful!
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand Your videos are some of the best I have watched here on TH-cam!
Your quiet demeanor and information delivery is 100% authentic.
I don’t subscribe to many YT channels, but you sir have gained a subscriber.
I wish you continued success in the future.
@@KMOinT wow! Thanks for the accolades and your support.
good advice
Glad you think so!
The number one pitfall is THAI Ladies! To quot a line from one of my favorite songs, "you know that you can't trust them because they know they can't trust you". BTW, I first came here in 1970's and have live here consistantly for 15 years.
I have to agree with you but I think non-thinking men are as much to blame.
Have patience and don’t read too much in to the locals mood swings,it’s often their fault but they find it difficult to accept responsibility.
4:15 I see videos all the time about living in luxury in Thailand for $1,000/month. That's a doomed plan. To get a retirement visa you need a minimum of $1,850/month. Retired or not, if you don't at least that much money you're going to be in trouble.
It is possible to exist on $1,000 / month but it will be far from luxurious. However many live well on less than $1,850 / month.
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand Live? Yes. Live well? Nope.
@@johnnielson4341 that depends on one's personal definition of well.
Supremely sage advice. Particularly regarding learning the language, which is totally imperative. Also don't pick up vocabulary from an Isaan bargirl, as it's considered gutteral.
Your advice about picking up wrong lingo from Isaan girls is a first for me. I don't doubt it, but I have never heard that before.
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand My language tutor told me that, as she had a language school in Pattaya, but was from Bangkok. Also my pal's girlfriend who's from Trang in the South said something similar, but with a greater passion, bordering on resentment.😆
More than once I have been asked why me and my kids speak laos/isaan by usually older cashed up Thais telling me it is the language of buffalo, I just reply my kids were born in isaan, we live in isaan and Thailand was bùlt on the back of the buffalo. I am a single dad so I guess they expect me to speak thai as I don't live with one of their bargirl daughters.
Good points u make very sensible advice.. Street food fried is definitely bad for anyone's health especially the old oil reusing. I wouldn't touch it myself. Heart problems with that rubbish.. Anyway well said about the bar girl life they suck money like down a drain hole 👌
Thank you. I think you fully understand.
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand . Yes I understand.. I must say your videos are totally common sense and of great value if one listens to what your saying. straight talking facts.. )
@@allangreenley9901 I can only deliver the information, listening is out of my control.
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand . Very good reply.. I still say u pass on very sensible information

Hello Ray. What advice do you have for a 48 year old Hungarian citizen who wants to settle in Thailand, what kind of VISA and where can he do it?
1, Marry a Thai 2. Get a marriage visa 3. Thai Embassy in Hungary
@@AllAboutLifeInThailand Thank you very much.
Sounds like you know what you're talking about , how about renting a house?
What about renting a house.
Do you have to lease, monthly or longer
You can rent some condos monthly but most rentals have a 6 month minimum
So many han$um, fooli$h expat$ … 🤡😵💀
That $ums$ it up well.
If You didn't plan on having another kid at 60 back home...... Why the fk would you over there?
Street food over there is fast food back home.
Make sure when packing... To pack that common sense.
And make sure you do not forget and leave that common sense at the airport.
