Not to mention that there's a lot of foreign workers in Singapore as well; They don't understand when you speak in proper English. I'm a Singaporean living overseas for 20 years so I go through the same thing as well.

Precisely. I just can't fathom why some people simply just enter the house without taking off their shoes. Like u said u clean ur house n u simply dirty it again when u enter ur house without taking off your shoes.

Singlish is probably best explained as an ultra lazy, yet ultra efficient way of speaking English, with whatever words that has the least syllabus or whatever gets the point across. It evolved from our multi-racial society before everyone spoke English, so they all picked up some phrases to communicate between each other.. then they mix English with it and became as such. :)

Haha I share the same sentiments regarding the first one; whenever I watch American sitcoms like "Big Bang Theory" or "Friends" or "How I Met Your Mother" and the characters go to bed with their shoes on, I'm like "Ahhhhhhh!"
I think a lot of people has changed that habit after knowing that coronavirus can stick to the bottom of the shoes XD

What are some of your favorite Singapore dishes? When my wife and I travel to Singapore, our first stop is the Katong area for their Laksa. That has always been our favorite. I love Char Kway Teow so much. There is a hawker stall in Jurong (on Boon Lay Drive) that makes the best I have had in Singapore. Keep up the good work and stay safe! Have a great weekend!!!

I know what you meant by gaining weight from eating out. 🙂 Best thing to do is reduce sugary drinks, limit noodle dishes (once or twice a week), same with fried stuff (once a week indulgence), drink less of the soups if they're not clear light soups. Exercise is a must of course. 😉 Just suggestions. 🙂 Btw, cute poodle! 😀

I used to be able to leave shoes outside but I had a fasciitis and so I can't walk without house slippers on. Can't walk barefoot or it may cause the fasciitis to come back.
