Thank you for this tutorial! I have been working really hard to improve the health of my skin over the last 12 months. I have had to change the way I do my makeup as my skin looks great with minimal application. I have never been comfortable with minimal make up.
The same here Cassandra. But I'm gradually coming to my senses and realising that I look younger, fresher and healthier with less make-up. Try taking a photo of yourself outside in natural daylight with minimal make-up and then do the same with full face make-up...and then compare. You will then see what others see. The thing is that I enjoy applying make-up (having been a teen in the decadent 80's!); but now I don't need to apply it as I did when I was rocking up at midnight to a party, band venue or club! Thankfully all that sun-dodging over the years has been beneficial for the condition my skin, especially as I live in Australia. I am also glad that I have never smoked. The editorial fashion images & influencer looks rarely translate successfully in real life. I now would much rather someone say that I look great, rather than they compliment me on my make-up. In a separate comment (on this video), I have briefly outlined my recent no-makeup look. Best wishes, 👱♀️❤

When I was first flying under the makeup radar I was about 17 (1976-77) and the product range and my crappy after school job really limited my choices. It's really interesting to see your natural look with all the wonderful products but applied so subtly that it simply enhances. Thanks for teaching an old broad a few new tricks. :)

I always hang on to a mascara that is just about empty for these "invisible" makeup days. It looks so natural and lovely, and you don't have to waste good mascara on a tissue. Other than that, this look, and video is flawless as usual! I love these straight forward tutorials.

Just my added two sense, the most natural looking foundation that I’ve found that makes my skin look natural is Juice Beauty Stem Cellular CC Cream. Even if I layer it, it still looks natural. It blows me away! I honestly don’t enjoy the smell of it, but I do enjoy it. It’s supposed to be organic, which is what I think contributes to the scent of it. Anyway, I’m not a pro makeup person like Wayne, but this is something that I just stumbled across because it was given to me somehow by the universe & have grown to really love as a day, natural foundation.

Thank you so very much! This was what I was always looking for. So natural, quick and not overdone. I really don’t like Make-up to show at 62. And since my skin is nice still, I can get away with very little. I did your easy routine right away this morning and prompt got compliments how nice my skin looks, and it was so fast. Took me few minutes to get there after watching your video twice and stopping it to look for the color of the blush. Then I remembered having one blush stick from Chanel which is very similar, and it did the trick. So thank you again, I won’t look back to doing anything else if I can get away with so little so fast ❤

I would like to see the "wash of eyeshadow" you mentioned, too. I have a lot of discoloration and little blood vessels showing on my lids because I have very fair and very thin skin, and I'd like to know how do that "wash of shadow" to cover the discolorations in an undetectable way.

I just want to say, Wayne, I purchased the Makeup Forever HD recently that you recommended in a previous video. Now, my skin is pretty good already-not bragging. However, that brand has perfected my look. I don’t use it every day. But the last times I wore it with a little concealer and a touch of bronzer, multiple people said I was GLOWING. I've been doing an amateur version of this with the L'Oreal Perfect Age balm, and the (powder) blushes I already own (I've been trying to withstand the pressure to buy blush balms). I am still often times fascinated by the intense looks some people create on their faces. Colorful eyeshadows, bright blush, a thousand steps in their routine... but that's not for me. I prefer more settle, more soft and natural make up. I only use foundation to even out my skintone and match my face to my body. I don't even fully cover my redness or pimples anymore. But I often time still feel like I have too much onto my skin. I still love a winged liner on me, but other than that I prefer make up you can barely see. I once asked a young woman about her make up routine because she looked so fresh and still natural. She uses barely any foundation but applies her blush to her eyelids too. It looks stunning. I now do that too, gives a very nicely fresh and even look to the face. I've seen you showed that once too in one of your older videos. You're a true make up genious imho.

Hi, Wayne, when I need to look more polished for formal events, I use foundation. I've tried using a foundation brush by Shiseido to apply liquid (different brands) & stick/cream foundation (Hourglass) but the effect isn't dewy pretty. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. In the end, I use my fingers. My skin is smooth and small-pored with freckles on my cheeks. I really admire your work and as a z-generation I have so much to learn from a maestro like you ❤

Whenever I do a look like this I use your kohl pencil in rich hazel to lightly tight line my upper lashes. I have crappy lashes that look worse with mascara but no other eye makeup as all the spots missing lashes become really obvious. Your kohl liner works like magic to make me look human.❤
This is my goal of doing my own makeup always. I have come to believe that the base, esp less, is more and really buff it in. I started using a foundation with light to medium coverage or skin tints. My top 2 rn r the Surratt The Dew Drop foundation like this is youth magic in a bottle it's wild. Then Shiesido synchro skin tint in the tube with spf. It's like ur skin, but better, they both r. U can see my skin, but it's perfected smooth and evened out. I will always do my make-up this way now or go for that type of foundation. Oh, another one is the Chantecaille future skin foundation, and they also have a skin tint that's just as amazing. I've found out that letting ur skin show thru but lightly smoothed, evened out, and perfected makes u look like u have amazing skin in general. Like, u get the best results this way. I hope I'm making sense lmbo. 🤷♀️🤦♀️🤭 Oh, lastly, u know how u put on makeup, and then u look in the mirror, and it looks so good. Then u lean in up close to the mirror, and ur like, wow, u really see the makeup on ur face. So ur like, idw get close up in ppls faces. When u do this or use these foundation styles and Wayne's techniques, ur makeup looks amazing close up in the mirror and in ppls faces, lol. Seriously, like it's just ur skin but so much better it's unreal. ❤
Would love to see you use YOUR cream foundation on things like this. I absolutely love your foundation. The finish is so beautiful and it would be great to see you create different looks with it from base to contour to bronzer to concealer to eyeshadow base for gripping other eye shadows....
I have Lupus and my fave is covered in scars, I don't have much texture at the moment just a lot of red, purple, and vainy looking patches, I love this kind of makeup, I've tried it but it makes my scarring show up more for some reason, I only owe high end makeup and I was wondering if u could look up Lupus and the scarring and do a less is more makeup routine to accommodate people like me, it's totally ok if u can't I just thought I'd ask, I'll still watch every video u put out♡

Oh, lastly, u know how u put on makeup, and then u look in the mirror, and it looks so good. Then u lean in up close to the mirror, and ur like, wow, u really see the makeup on ur face. So ur like, idw get close up in ppls faces. When u do this or use these foundation styles and Wayne's techniques, ur makeup looks amazing close up in the mirror and in ppls faces, lol. Seriously, like it's just ur skin but so much better it's unreal. ❤

Would love to see you use YOUR cream foundation on things like this. I absolutely love your foundation. The finish is so beautiful and it would be great to see you create different looks with it from base to contour to bronzer to concealer to eyeshadow base for gripping other eye shadows....

I have Lupus and my fave is covered in scars, I don't have much texture at the moment just a lot of red, purple, and vainy looking patches, I love this kind of makeup, I've tried it but it makes my scarring show up more for some reason, I only owe high end makeup and I was wondering if u could look up Lupus and the scarring and do a less is more makeup routine to accommodate people like me, it's totally ok if u can't I just thought I'd ask, I'll still watch every video u put out♡

I have deep set eyes with darkness underneath. I use a little color correction. I don't want the darkness to completely disappear. I don't look like myself! I want to look my best, not done or like someone else! Thank you!
