I enjoy listening to Brad Argent. Love watching "DNA Journey." As an American, I usually don't know who the guests are, but it does not matter. Everyone has fascinating stories in their family histories. The good and the bad, the triumphs and tragedies.
Always enjoy seeing Brad's choice of shirts! Appreciate that DNA journey doesn't just go for the bling, so many of us have families that lived quiet lives in their times. Encourages me to dig into the everyday stuff of my ancestors lives. Occasional bling is fun, but in the end (when my grandchildren research me....) they will not see high society, huge rebellion but a life lived (hopefully) well and in a way that influences future generations.
Absolutely loved watching this. Brad always comes across as a nice guy, but his passion and empathy for what the people will be going through is wonderful. Thanks for sharing the episode
Love DNA Journey and always excited when Brad is up in the episode. I appreciate the stories and how the show brings history to the guest stars. So many don't know much about their ancestors and I love how the show builds a connection. Can't wait for the next episode!
Love Brad and how he says "everyone" has a story ! He is absolutely right! I am a family history researcher working with people ... their family history and their DNA .... and have discovered hundreds of amazing stories ... just unbelievable stories .... love how he says we "build the tree and then look for the fruit" .... no way is it dull! I have wonderful stories I tell ..... Thanks Brad 🙏🙏🙏
I love Brad and his beautiful shirts. My favorite DNA Journey episode is the one with Hugh Bonniville and John Bishop. It is delightfully amazing. I’ve also enjoy Brad on the New Zealand show DNA Detectives. It’s hosted by Richard O’Brien, who wrote “ Rocky Horror Picture Show” and played Riffraff. 🤩😁
My paternal grandmother was born Rose Marjorie Jeans in Bournemouth England in September 1919. Rose died in May 2010 in Perth Scotland. I discovered after her death that she had been a Nurse in the Voluntary Aid Detachment. Love DNA Journey
We need a Canadian version of this and Who Do You Think You Are. We seem so interconnected with their stories and immigration had a lot to do with our being where we are.
I viewed some DNA Journey episodes last year and have been facinated...I'm trying to do more on my Ancestry web site tree, however I can't afford membership to delve further in the European past of my family, especially the Irish and polish info.
I agree: bring a tv brain into family history- life is visual. To connect we need to see how another person sees the world. All the same in family histories. I dont always agree with the perspective, but that is the basis for other open conversation. It works.
It's nice to have a normal background, for it's who makes them up. It's okay not to have a war hero, a Royal ancestor, It knowing they lived and survived for the times were hard. How to survive a work house, lived out on the land, For we are all the same with similar stories.
@@familytreeplus You're only missing American actors finding out about their ancestors. The ancestors were either slaves or Civil War or Revolutionary War veterans. After several seasons, it's getting too repetitive.
I have a High percentage of Uk on both sides and am only second gereration Canadian. I am supposedly related to Lady Diana on my mothers side and would like to know if that is really true and my fathers side Corbet born in Vale and wonder if there are any famous people in my DNA pool from my fathers Corbet line Ernest John Corbet Geurnsey Channel Isle and any living relatives looking from my Grandfather looking from the other side.

Brad's gentle delivery on the show is lovely. If watched him on much earlier shows with multiple experts. 👍

Is Finding Your Roots shown in the UK?
Hi Kathryn, no Finding Your Roots is not broadcast here in the UK, what are we missing?
