I took an ancestry DNA test. I'm not adopted but wanted to find out about my paternal grandmother. I met a lovely lady who had been adopted and came up as My first cousin once removed. I am so glad to have met her
I was able to find my husband's birth parents after taking a DNA test. After the research, we sent off for his original birth certificate which verified it.
I grew up feeling different from my other family members and hoping I was adopted, but no, I am stuck with these relatives. There's only a couple of them that I still can't believe I'm related to.
Terrible interviewer! She’s so repetitive & long winded that she actually annoys us with her monopoly on the details. I hated her interruptions. He was also not very patient with her taking over the story line. Not hers but his!
@unearththepastpodcast You obviously have expertise in adoptive family research & genealogy. Also that you have a history with the guest. I enjoyed the interview. TY for sharing.
Lovely story. Thank you both! Hope he finds his half brother soon too.

Bio mom may have been unable to reunite with Ian but he should take comfort that his name was her password!
