Could you make a video about making portraits of young people? I noticed that because young people don't have that many wrinkles and generally prominent features, it's difficult to portray their depth. It's somewhat similar to the difficulties these flowers have.

Im struggling with how to make realistic looking flower petals. with watercolour...mainly vein placement and how to make a petal roll over (e.g. a rose petal). I just received your workbook and looking forward to learning more. Before I get started I wonder what pencils or pens to use on the individual pages. You suggest in the beginning what to use for the workbook but not on the individual exercises.
great video, I notice that shading flower with ink give the impression of dryness of the leaves.. like in this video the flower appear dried, is it only me?

How do you handle value when there are multiple colours involved? I recently tried to draw a flame lily. As a beginner, it was a flop. I couldn't quite figure out how to get the values to represent the red and yellow. I realise red will be darker than yellow. But how can I represent that without it registering as texture.
