    Picked up my Surron the other day, had the pleasure of dealing with Ramsey. He sent me the link to this video, very helpful in setting up my new bike. Thanks again Ramsey!

    A few things to add: I would grease up the part of the spacer that touches the wheel with something like Maxima grease. I would also grease the axle that you put inside. I would also calibrate the front brake by loosening it slightly and then holding down the front brake very hard and then tightening it back up again. Then spin the wheel to see if you're making any contact with the brake pads. You can hear it if it's making contact. If it is making contact, loosen it slightly again and try clamping the grip again. It helps to have bungees around and then you don't need to simultaneously clamp the grip while you are calibrating the front brake. I also like to remove the front brake when taking the front tire on or off. I find it's an easier job. But calibrating it afterwards is something you need to do. Maybe when it's out of the box like this you don't have to calibrate the brake? I would check it at least to make sure it's aligned.

    Hey, if I had watched you drag your way through this unboxing/assembly I would have felt more comfortable trying to put mine together. I’m 79 years old and was afraid I would get it out of the box, have some problem and not be able to get it back in the box to take it somewhere for assistance, so I had it delivered to a bike shop. Are you planning any upgrades? I want to do the 72 Volt/Controller upgrade. I kinda follow Sur Ronster and he pushes E-Moto Bros for the controller, but they are always out of stock. Do you have any knowledge about KO Moto? Their website really looks good. Anyway, I’ll subscribe and see how it goes. Good luck with your channel.

    Thanks for sharing. My bike just arrived from Luna Cycle and I got everything put together, but I don't have a green loop that's visible on the battery plug. Do I need to cut the cable sleeve to reveal it?

    • @DeanPSX
      @DeanPSX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes cut about half an inch of the cable sleeve and just pull the green wire out and cut it.

      From what I’ve researched yes. I’ve seen plenty of TH-cam videos of surrons being riddled on snow lined trails. I am from CA so I haven’t done that type of riding myself but it seems as though it will be just fine.

      I work for Luna Cycle, to my knowledge if you buy a surron from someone else they still got it from us originally. This I am fairly sure of. We have been selling and supporting the surrons for around 4 years now. We have all the replacement parts if anything ever goes wrong. We have the strongest most knowledgeable mechanic team in the Ebike industry I have yet to see. Plus our prices are the best, since you're buying directly from the distributor.
      When you buy a fancy brand bike (not just surrons) from an expensive brand from their store front, what you're paying for is their real-estate overhead, their sales staff etc. IF you want to see a good example of how Luna keeps costs affordable vs the competition for the same quality bike or even better quality watch this video th-cam.com/video/AD8cdxW3U54/w-d-xo.html
