I think this was a fun way to add difficulty, and I’m sad they didn’t keep the fight in ultimate.
Would of been nice even if they limited it, say, each classic mode character only fights one part of the master core
Or the master core is in an optimal bonus mode on its own
At least those scenarios would be better than nothing?
@@hyperfairy7779 There's spirits and spirit battles for each part of the core in SSBU.
Master Giant: Giant DK (Black alt) + Bob-omb rain (This one is found in the dark realm)
Master Beast I don't know about since I don't think I've done the spirit battle.
Master Edges: Cloud team (x4) (Spirit board exclusive)
So there is representation for them, but not battles with the Master Core's parts. Also; for each fight the Master Core theme plays, but that should be obvious.

@@superseany2451 I know this is late but Master Beast is represented by a Giant Ridley in his white alt with instadrop and like Master Edge he's a spirit board exclusive
My personal theory is that Master Core is Tabuu trying to completely take over the hands. If you fail to defeat the Core itself in a set time limit, the Core will use Tabuu's Off Waves and self destruct. This leads me to believe that the Master Core is some kind of reincarnation of Tabuu attempting to gain full control of the hands, and I don't think I need to tell you about the "Tabuu is the personification of maturity" theory.
The reason why the hands spazz out and erupt? Well, as the Master Core is still resting inside the hands, perhaps when one of the fighters lands the final hit, Tabuu recognizes the fighter and manually exits the hand to defeat the player character before they can interfere with his plans.

@@Galaxycoffe Both hands can spawn the Master Core, not just Master Hand. It all depends on which one you defeat first.
@@A_Different_NameNo. Even if you only attack Crazy Hand, Master Hand will spawn Master Core and Crazy Hand will just peace out. Doesn’t really make sense. Does Master Hand have a Hear-errr Hand Attack and dies?
@@ThunderMouse1999 I think I screwed up what I said. It’s been a few years since I played Smash 4, but I do remember that the hand that spawns the core depends on the one you DONT defeat. Again, fuzzy memory and both hands look almost identical.
@@A_Different_Name AFAIK it's ALWAYS Master Hand that does it, no matter which one you attack first.

So I managed to defeat Master Core starting on maximum difficulty with no retries. I got to the end where its just the ball. I kept trying to take a good photo with my phone to show my friends. The ball one shots me and I die. That was the only time I've ever managed to get that far just to die to the time's up K.O. 😭

Interesting idea for a boss fight beyond Master Hand... Though it does make me wonder what the heck even is Master Hand (and Crazy Hand for that matter)?

Not much is known about Master Hand not Crazy Hand. We just know he’s basically a Benevolent God-like being who loves a challenge.
Crazy Hand could be considered a twin brother, but that’s the extent most people would agree on. If anything, Master Core really puts into question if rather or not if Master Hand and Crazy Hand are one in the same being, or if the two combine to become Master Core. You can see Master Core uses the Black Swarm to Create Forms (Master Hand’s creative side) while using those forms to attack in chaotic and destructive ways (Crazy Hand’s chaotic side).
What’s kinda terrifying to me is that Master Hand throughout the years was really holding back.

@@Rubberman202 maybe? Unfortunately we don’t know, Crazy Hand just burst into flames while Master Hand unleashes the Swamps as Master Core.
Story wise, the entire Super Smash Bros series is a kid playing with his toys, both Master Hand and Crazy Hand are the hands of that kid, and it's also rumored that the kid is Sakarai, MatPat did a theory video on it during Ultimate, but we still don't know, for all we know the hands are the players but a former president of Nintendo confirmed this theory that Smash is a child's imagination
