    Thank you, I just moved up from a Vexilar to live scope. This is really helpful in terms of the settings and what to look for.

    Hey Cody. I just got my livescope unit delivered to me. Ive never used one before. Dumb question, when I adjust my pole, how far below the ice do i set the transducer? Is it just below the ice like a flasher or do I do it differently? Thank you!

    • @CodyS
      @CodyS  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yes, I like to have it a couple inches below the ice!

    I keep having to move my transducer a couple clicks when I want to switch from FWD to Down. What am I doing wrong that allows you to just switch from on the screen and not adjust the 'ducer? Great video. Well done.

    I noticed you didn't move the transducer while you were changing the orantation from forward to down on the unit Is that ok? @4:50

    • @CodyS
      @CodyS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you don’t always necessarily have to change the position of the transducer. Specially when you are in deeper water. However; when you change the position you will get a little clearer picture.

    I am also having a problem with my transducer. When I first got my unit I left the transducer in one position. Now If i do that in forward mode the lake bottom shoots almost straight up. If I click the transducer up a click or two the bottom levels out. The same goes for down mode. I have to click the transducer down a click. All this just happened when I started ice fishing a few weeks ago. Before this I just kept the transducer level. How can I correct this problem.

    • @CodyS
      @CodyS  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you may have to calibrate your compass. You can do this in settings on your graph.

    Don't you have to change the orientation of the live scope? For-instance you had it in forward view to search - once you drilled your holes and put the scope back in shouldn't you adjust the transducer so that it's aimed down not forward?

    • @CodyS

      You can do this yes. But sometimes it is not always necessary.

    I must be choosing garbage areas right now the last 3 days I’ve gone out. Only seen 3 I’m assuming large pike or walleye but not a single panfish school or group.
    Learning lessons I suppose. The con of this amazing thing is it makes me pretty impatient with any spot since I just forward scope around the hole and keep moving to find them.

    • @CodyS
      @CodyS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Livescope allows you to see out over 100ft. Cameras will only see out so far in certain water conditions.
      Now I’m not saying cameras aren’t convenient in certain situations, but they are limited.

      @leoflexx1 also, this setup is still very portable compared to stringing a camera all the way o the bottom and getting it set up. With this type of unit you can easily hole hop to stay on the fish, which is pretty challenging with a camera.
