  • This is a travel guide for St. Louis, Missouri. We walk around downtown St. Louis check out whats going on during a Cardinals game, head over to the St Louis Arch which is the gateway to the west. Eat some Vietnamese fried rice, go to the Weird Museum which is possibly one of the coolest urban art museums in the country. Also we walk around the old Union Station that has now been turned into an aquarium and a koi pond with restaurants.

Wow that Ballpark Village is pretty impressive. Last time I was in Saint Louis 10 years ago I think it was just vacant land, and they hadn't even broken ground on that project yet. And the soccer stadium looks like it will be a nice addition, too.

I love me some St Louie!! Have only visited a couple times. But enjoyed both stays! And never felt “ endangered” one time!! I even forgot about the whole “most dangerous city is theStates” But I always wondered if you take the arch away if people would even recognize St. Louis’ skyline? 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

kcmo is full of crime and poverty. It’s your typical “central city” but with low density. Most the jobs, economy, wealth and density are in Johnson county Kansas now in the southwest corner of the area. This can easily be statistically proven.

if you're a jogger, you won't find a better city park run than the perimeter of Forest Park. It's about 6 miles around. The nature and scenery change often. You'll love it in Spring and Fall....not so much in July or August.

And you'll have plenty of company. Most of them wear ankle bracelets & carry stolen TV's, etc. They usually have a piece tucked into their waistband, which, of course, is halfway down their azz.
Also, if you're gonna jog almost ANYWHERE in StL, it's good to carry your own bodybag.
      Just sayin'...

I agree with you Jim. I was there last August and I couldn't understand the cars racing up and down the streets (as well as motorcycles) where my hotel was located (near Arch). All I saw was the fellas having fun with the tourists. Oh and its easy to understand when you need your hotel key to get in.

Most of the Homicides occur in one Area but they can and DO happen everywhere. It's relatively Safe but like anywhere else you have to be aware of your Surroundings. I Live in the South Side of the City and High Crime is really on a Block by Block basis. We're really only on that List because the City only has 300,000 People Living in it and St.Louis is one of the only US Cities to Record Theft Under A $1000 in it's Crime Stats.
