- Painting non metallic metal on warhammer 40k models can be a monumental task but if we break down the technique it can become incredibly approachable
Even for something like an entire space marine

i saw something in this short ive not seen in hundreds of hours of painting videos. you perfectly show your layer process all the way to the zenith and it really painted the picture in my mind better. i absolutely adore your works, bravo!

I fucking adore you using purple for the darkest shadows as opposed tonjust going even darker blue, or black. So much more visually interesting
I have a huge amount of respect for people with the patience to do these techniques. All my models get are base colors and washes lol

Teal, but like proper dark teal, like a terradon turqouise type colour (which is too dark to be turquoise!)

Red-to-orange as the main and deep-sea-blue-to-green as the secondary, with a bigger reliance on black like your Dante.

I still don't believe all these creators switched solely to the Army Painter line. I feel like those people are under contract for a few months, or they get paid every time they show themselves using Army Painter. It all felt manufactured.

Besides, the exact same thing already happened with the speed paints. Everyone said they were great, then before long, everyone goes back to Citadel contrast paints. Turns out, the speed paints are still shit, and everyone just towed the company line to get paid. Forgive me if I don't take the bait twice.

How Do you go about choosing colors that blend well together to get the gradient? Especially if you are using multiple paint brands.
I mostly stick to the army painter fanatics range these days but jumping back and forwards and mixing brands isn't usually an issue as long as they all have the same base
As for the blending it's more techniques, set blending and glazing are my gotos
