Zillaman67 i am envious of everyone that got to either grow up or be young during the 70s and 80s, the golden years of hard rock. were you into KISS? how about ace frehley's solo stuff from the 80s?
Zillaman67 I know I would've loved this song as a kid in the early 90s if I'd heard it then. I'm shocked it wasn't a huge hit, since Bon Jovi, Def Leppard and Poison were huge in 1987
That's what I wanted to say to the world in 1987-1988. KISS was underrated during 1981 - 1989. Even though they wrote good songs, they didn't become hit songs. Forever finally became a big hit suddenly and unnaturally.
I was 12 when Kiss released Crazy Nights. It was the very first Kiss album I ever owned, and this was the track that made me pick it up. It was not much of a hit and I only saw the video on MTV a few times, but man it is special to me.

Likewise! I'm 44 and I, too, STILL listen to '80s rock/metal! In my opinion, for some (people), UNFORTUNATELY, THEY look at MUSIC the way jr. high and/or high school students look at their individual status. In other words, some people look at music like it's a "popularity contest!" In my opinion, THOSE people are "missing the point!" In my opinion, music, to ME, is about "feeling/emotion, individuality, and being the voice that I'll never have."
I’m 41 and listen to 80s metal all the time!!! I loved it then and still love it now, reminds me of so many happy times and that to me is what music is about, music curates your life. Different eras in your life are defined by the music you was listening to and everybody has certain songs or bands they attach to certain times in their lives.
I guess something is wrong with me then. I'm 28 and listen to 80s metal all the time... even though I was not around to experience it in person. I do however go to 80s rock events whenever I can at local bars, pubs and clubs and it enjoy those the most. Last weekend there was another "poser rock night". My friend who is my age and I are usually the youngest people who are around but we have so much fun. They played 'tears are falling' from kiss last time i was there :)
This song is such a good one. This album truly rocks and I think should get more recognition. It truly proved that they could stay alive during a time where music changed a lot. The vocals by Paul and gene were on point and I wish people wouldn’t neglect this era as much
One of the happiest songs ever recorded. Been a fan since 1980 (four years old). This one just works for me...There is a shot at 2:44 of Eric Carr...the joy on his face...Being in a band with your friends onstage...I feel that with my bands too.
Crazy Nights was such a underrated Kiss album. Some people didn't like 80s Kiss, but I loved it. To me Kiss was the greatest "ATHEM BAND" of all time. So many songs that were "stand up and shout them" type of songs and 80s Kiss had so many of them. Kiss wrote great songs that didn't make you want "kill" or "break something" when you heard them. You wanted to smile, have fun, and actually feel good when listened to 80s Kiss. That is why I label them as "Party Rock".
mrhoffame I grew up with the 70s Kiss then I started listening to other bands when the Elder came out. This album Crazy nights brought me back to Kiss! I love every song on it and I feel this album gets overlooked now but its really damn good!

The addition of Eric Carr and Bruce Kulick pivoted the band into 80's hard rock, where Paul was able to vocally extend to a whole new level. Suited him far more than 70's disco Kiss.
I know! I don't know what it is, but there's just something about '80s rock that immediately feels big, expansive, and optimistic to me. Eric had the best drum solo on the Crazy Nights Tour, I have ever seen to this day! He had these drum sticks that glowed and the lights dimmed and all you could see was these lights moving back and forth so fast. I wish there was footage of his drum solo from that tour on youtube. Also, on this tour, there was no "You wanted the best, you've got the best", it was just Paul coming out on stage and saying, "We're going to kick your ass" and they open with Love Gun, strange song to open with, but different. Also, 80's KISS were Super LOUD! My ears for ringing for two days!
