    This song is a kind of 'one man band' because Roger did vocal, drums, bass and guitar...etc by himself. Brian may helped some solo(guitar) parts.

  • @janetschulman7649
    @janetschulman7649 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    "Fight from the Inside" was written and sung by Taylor. In addition to the drums, he also plays rhythm guitar and bass guitar; for the latter he borrowed Deacon's instrument.
    The track is built around a jangly guitar riff and is amongst the first in the Queen catalogue to focus predominantly on the drums and bass, as opposed to the lead guitars.[22] It is also one of the few songs in the band's discography recorded almost entirely by one member, another being "Sheer Heart Attack".
    Guitarist Slash has cited the guitar riff to this song as one of his favourite riffs of all time.[23]

    Another good one! Roger was always more in touch with the cutting edge of what was out there musically, I heard in one of their interviews. The individuality that the members of Queen allowed themselves is why they stayed together so long and produced such a wide range of music. Loved your reaction to this.

    Queen were pioneers because they never tried to repeat what they had already done. There were four writers each bringing in a different style and genre of music. Sometimes in the studio, there was a meld of two or even 4 different ideas going into a song which created something new and fresh. Legendary band and Roger still rocks it the hard way today.

    I’ve been looking forward so much to hearing your reaction to this song. You didn’t let me down either. I love it , but then I really love Rogers voice and his songs . To me he ‘s such a massive part of why I love Queen so much - the variety he brings is fabulous. It’s so great that he plays all the instruments and does all the backing vocals too. Brian says Roger is a really good bass player and you can hear that on this track.

    Totally agree with you David about Roger singing people seem to forget there were 4 equal members of Queen with 3 fantastic singers not just Freddie who was an amazing front man & lead singer the best ever ❤️ but I’m sure Freddie would have loved one of the others taking on the singing role to give him a rest as he did struggle with throat issues at times x

    On your Jan. 4th reaction to Tie Your Mother Down, I left a comment about a live performance of, "Action This Day, live at the bowl." If you have time, go back and read it. Also, Action is at the top of my favorite songs. You get a little glimpse of why John is called, "Deaky, the dancing Queen."

React to the studio lyric versions first sung by Roger then the live versions sung by Freddie. Modern Times Rock and Roll Live at the Rainbow 1974 (the one with Big Spender at the beginning) and Sheer Heart Attack Live in Paris 1979. Keep in mind these metal songs were sung at the end of shows!
