    When they go on sale price, the Srixon Z-Star golf balls are hands-down the best bang for the buck available on the market today in my opinion.
    I play the regular Z-Star in both white and yellow versions depending on the weather conditions.
    Those with higher swing speeds will probably prefer gaming the firmer Z-Star XV, which is actually a four-layered ball as opposed to the regular Z-Star, which is a three-layered ball.
    I personally prefer the softer Z-Star, as it can also still perform well when air temperatures dip a bit on the cooler side, depending on where you live and/or the time of year.
    However, I always completely switch over to Taylormade Project (a) balls for play during the winter time, as they are even softer compression than the Z-Star, and will generally perform better in colder weather.
    All three golf ball models mentioned above also have urethane covers, which is a requirement for best spin and performance in any conditions.

    Nice to have a clearer explanation of the differences between the full range. What you pay for / what you might be compromising on. Ego would suggest go high up the range, reality is somewhat different!

    Found a Z-Star and played a 9 with it today, keeping it in play for a full 9 was a good sign, I was really happy with it, might be my favorite ball. I had become a TP5 player, but the Z Star feels just as good and absolutely flies off the face. I was going 5 yards further with the Z-Star and like I said, it felt great every swing.

      It's a great ball! In a similar bracket to the TP5 so should feel familiar but any improvements in performance are a bonus!

    Another Britt opinion! Can't we hear from someone in the States? I lived in England, they played mostly with Nike balls then and now it's Srixon! Ever hear of Titlist? That's the only ball I have ever used, best best short game and putting ball ever produced!

    I always preferred golf balls the size of hail. Do any Srixon meet that qualification ?

    Is the AD333 the European version of the Q-Star? I've never seen the AD here in Canada and I notice the regular Q-Star isn't shown here.

    • @GolfShopOnline
      @GolfShopOnline  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, we do offer the Q Star although they're currently out of stock, AD333 are probably one of the most popular Srixon balls over here though, runs more alongside the Soft Feel in terms of price but an all-round good performing ball!

    I’m trying to decide on what ball is good for me. I’m a 13 handicap and my swing speed on my 7 iron was an average of 102.1 mph and an average carry of 200 yards with the ping i59. I currently play the calaway super soft and Srixon soft feel. Cheap and I like the feel haha. I have a box of q star, q start tour, and z star. Should I step up to at least the q star and would it be beneficial? I get good spin and greenside control on the 2 I currently play. Only $2 more than the calaway.
    Thanks

      They'd definitely be worth a test, if they fit within your price range, greenside spin and control should only increase as you move up to a more premium ball. Both of these balls will give you a similar soft feel to what you're used to but it's worth noting that there is a good chance your standard ball flight will change slightly so the most important thing is giving yourself time to adjust and stick to a ball that you're happy with, even if that means sticking with the cheaper options that you don't mind losing every now and then 🏌️‍♂️

      First I just want to say thank you for your reply and also thank you for your input. Next day at the course I’ll try all 4 on the green putting and greenside chipping and then a half and full wedge shot. Just got fitted for irons and seems like the new shaft has straightened my flight out so I may be more comfortable using a more premium ball. I’ll maybe swap balls each hole. When I can keep the same or only lose 1 ball a round I’ll probably start using my Z stars.
      I do seem to get a little pull back with my wedges on long shots but haven’t really been “tracking” it.

      I guess it kind of depends on what you're looking for!
      I'm a 8 handicap with a ~100 mph 7 iron swing speed like you, so I generate a ton of spin on my irons. For that reason, I go for a low-spin golf ball which is the Bridgestone B RX. It takes a little spin off around the greens, but the trade-off is worth it to me.
      If I was going to play a Srixon, I would personally choose the Q Star Tour because it is low-spin like the Bridgestone I play, but it's really low compression which means I'm giving up quite a bit of distance on all of my clubs. That being said, they are pretty cheap and easy to find at less than $30/dozen

      @14truelies 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      thanks I appreciate that. I recently started testing many different premium balls. I just used the chrome soft, Z star, TP5, Q star and the tour and I have also used the Bridgestone you mentioned. In all honesty they all appear to be the same for me off all the irons and driver. I just think about 70yds and in is really where I need to practice with them.
      I’m not too used to the stopping power of them. I can’t really see a difference between any of these balls yet in performance. I think at this point it’s just crap the cheaper ball lol. I do like the distance of the higher compression balls.
      I think I just need more practice with the target spot for these spinning balls. Cause I’ll get near it and sometimes zips back away from the hole.
