Mark Crossfield so I play off 13.
      Taylormade clubs.
      Don’t like TP5/X
      Don’t like the pro v1/X
      Don’t like ad333 / zstar
So I play the callaway supersoft. It’s perfect for me around the green and of the tee box.
£19.99 - 12 balls. I use the bright green colour as the ball feels rubbery compared to white shinny balls. This groves me great spin around the green. Try them as a comparison in a vlog. 🏌️‍♂️👍

I found one of these recently and dropped it on a fairway. Hit it clean, lovely feel, great sound. The launch was perfect.
    Straight into a lake.
Best ball I ever hit once.

Well I'm at the 165 mph ball speed range with driver and the Q star tour gives me 3-4 mph less ball speed than z star XV. Feels like the Q Star Tour melts to the face and leaves the club head slowly. Not the ball for me.

I'm playing the Q Star Tour now, and love it. Since I'm in a League, I play the same holes each Friday, and can compare/contrast with any other good balls I'm familiar with. This Srixon ball does Everything well and costs 30% less than the Pro V, the TP 5, or the Chrome Soft. Bravo Srixon! You've won me over.

The Q Star Tour is my ball of choice. It performs in line with MY GAME in the exact right places.
Extremely predictable ball flight that reflects the swing I made. No correction, just the shape and spin I hit. Good or bad.
Lower end compression give a confident feeling of pop off the club for med swing speeds.
Its a Urethane cover with superb feel for the stuff from 10-90 yds like pitching and finesse chipping.
I love the alignment line / text on this ball for putting.
Bonus, comes in a semi-metallic yellow finish that jumps out in sunlight.

Great vid. Here in the USA, they've been selling the Q-Star for years. It's a very, very good ball, and pretty cheap. The official price is 30 dollars, but you can get them usually for 20.

  • @ESikora12

Love the Q-Star Tour! I can regularly pick them up for 2 boxes for $30 when there are sales. Similar to Matt, I’m picky on feel/sound around the greens and off the putter, but still a solid feel off a longer club. This ball checks all those boxes!

The QStar Tour has been my ball for 4 months. Reliable. Durable. Plenty of chew on approaches. I’ve hit these into firm greens, with 7 iron, and the ball backs up. At a minimum they stop. Not as much spin as a ProV1, but I don’t necessarily need it

When in US, I first discovered there was a Q-Star ball and found it really solid. They were not in the European market, but in US and Asia at the time. I think it is a smart move to bring it on in Europe also. Not yet struck any of the Q-Star Tours yet, but AD333 Tour is familiar to me. Little less a ball, and too soft on driver for me. Playing mainly Z-Star XV.

Q Star Tour is the ball I have been using for 2 yrs, I am 13 handicap. I pay $24 dozen by purchasing 3 dozen at a time. Great ball. Like the soft feel of the urethane cover. Performs well around the green. Don’t see the need to pay for a premium ball.

Hello boys. Great video and content again and always a really good laugh! The ball definitely makes a difference from my experience. During a lesson the Pro got me to hit a non premium ball with my 50 degree wedge, he then made me hit a premium ball and the spin numbers 6000 versus 9500 respectively, were just jaw dropping. If the new Srixon is getting the same results as the premium ball i use, i will be switching 100%. "good players don't buy balls" that is one of the truest sayings i have heard, plus they don't loose them haha.

I play the Strixon Z XV since the Mygolfspy ball test. I bought a dozen of these Qstar tours in the end of January but haven't had a chance to try them since I broke 3 finger on my left hand February 4th and cannot hit a ball until at least end of May or June. I have been out of work since then. I love the videos and have plenty of time to watch them at home now. Great test. I did buy these at $19.00 U.S. money and the Zxv balls were $29 at Christmas time

I currently play the QStar Tour. Mainly because of price for a urethane cover ball. All top price balls are a three, four or five layer ball with a urethane cover. Most less expensive balls do not have urethane covers.

I'm in California and I game these balls. I usually find the previous year models at Golf Galaxy on clearance for 10$ a dozen. Example I bought the 2018 and 2019 balls two years going becasue the "newer" balls come out. No difference really at all. $10 for these are a steal! I'm not a great player but no longer a beginner so these are great for me. Excellent around the greens but soft and straight when teeing off with decent spin that isn't overwhelming to help the ball go straighter.

  • @jazz15c4

I am an 18 handicapper and this weekend I played a 3 piece ball for the 1st time (didn't consider myself to be good enough previously), and OH MY GOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I switched from a Titleist Tour Soft to the Srixon Q Star Tour and just wow...! The confidence the ball gave me to attack pins on pitches knowing that the ball wasn't going to pitch and keep rollng for 30 feet made such a difference. The ball flew long and straight off the driver. This resulted in a nett 63 and 59 across the 2 days.
The great news is, the better Srixon ball is cheaper than the Titleist...! Amazing ball, cannot recommend high enough.

I gamed this for a season and it holds up really well to hitting trees, cart paths, etc. I switched to a yellow ball (I can find it amongst the trees...) and the yellow option was a weird color with the q start so I went to PV1x, but then Switched to the Snell MTB x - biggest difference is the snell paint doesn't hold up anywhere near as well as the pro v. That being said, i've used the same dirt cheap Snell ball for several rounds (17 hc) so that's a LOT of strikes with one ball and it still goes 262, mates. I've since bought 23 more dozen snell for the upcoming season. more tests like this are great!

I'd enjoy a conversation about why or why not the high handicap/ inconsistent striker should be concerned about what type of ball to play. Being one myself, I find it hard to spot the difference/benefit between balls other than sometimes getting the "feel" of firmer vs softer

  • @duffymoon5912
    @duffymoon5912 4 ปีที่แล้ว

In winter I play any ball. The rest of the time I play pro v1s. I like the feel when I’m putting and there’s something comforting about looking down and seeing the word ‘Titleist’.
I know there are other, more often less expensive, balls out there that perform just as well, but I’ll stick to my pro v1s thanks.
But to be honest I don’t think the ball matters that much. My best ever round was with a Wilson Ultra.

  • @markkenyon7464

I had been using the AD333 Tour but Srixon stopped it to replace with the Q Star. It is soft, performs fine and as I thin occasionally doesn't rattle my teeth. So all in all good.

  • @Refflog
    @Refflog 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I think the point of a q star tour for a good golfer in England is they compress a lot easier in the winter when a pro v won’t hardly compress at all. In the summer go back to pro v 1.

As with all golf gear, I think brand recognition/snobbery is the enemy of this ball. There’s an inescapable kudos of teeing up a Titleist Pro V1. Ball snobbery has no place for me, due to my only fleeting ownership period of any ball! Great stuff, chaps. 👍🏻

I am a Golf professional here in Australia that no longer works in the industry. I used to get ball sponsorships but now, sadly, I have to pay. There is no way I'm forking out for ProV's. I play the Taylormade project a and can honestly say I give up zero performance.

Father’s Day last year picked up 2 dozen for $30 USD. And then two more dozen after using them. Set for a while. 3 piece, urethane cover.

Normally play the Soft Feel but I got these once on sale for 2 dozen at $20 each. They were great.

Probably would have got the Q-star, but the Z-stars were on sale for $5 more/doz... so I bought 4 doz of them... and those will be my ball this year. I don't lose balls very often.

Srixon Q-star tour and the Srixon soft feel are the best bang for your buck in golf balls!

Love the Q Star played the Z star for a while found the Q star had better distance. Feel like the softer ball is the better option.

I currently am in love with the vice pro plus. 93 compression just for whatever reason it feels soft to me yet I get the similar spin numbers to tp5x maxfli tour x an other "high compression balls which feel like smashing a rock from the driver all the way down to the putter an I hate that.

I buy used callaway chrome softs with the dots. I get them in bulk for cheap, no one else uses them so I always know what’s my ball and I love the feel/sound. I’m only a 90 golfer who just plays for fun with mates whilst consuming some beverages on course lol. I will say there is some confidence / marketing brainwashing for me. Standing over a “good” top of the line ball before a shot makes me feel better/more confident than standing over some bargain bin brand etc. But I know there is pretty much no advantage or disadvantage at my skill level lol

It’s a great ball. I think the AD incarnation was usually available for between £20 - £25. Another great ball is the Wilson Staff DX2 which I’ve bought for £14-18 a dozen.

Based on performance and feel, Srixon have been my preferred golf ball for years. The AD333 Tour was a very under rated ball in my opinion. Z star is fantastic. Unfortunately my issue is with durability. I’ve become fed up with Srixon balls just not lasting as long as something like a Titleist. While the price points on an AD333 Tour and Pro V are different, I’m happy to pay more for a ball that lasts more than twice as long for less than twice the price.
Good value on the face of it but they just don’t last in my experience so actually aren’t particularly good value for money. Sorry boys. Let’s hope this one is different.

I used to love Q star, but the earlier versions, before the Q Star Tour, the z star was softer off the putter. I play Snell.

Outdoors is the only place you can test for sound. This is a complete waste of time testing sound indoors. They will all sound different in different surroundings due to waves hitting off the walls differently.. It's common sense

I don't play any particular ball. I game a lot of found balls. I found that I did really like the feel of softer balls like chrome soft. Going to try some Noodle easy straight this upcoming season. I'm at the skill level where I don't think the ball matters much, unless I'm playing a range ball.

I'm so guilty of ball snobbery and still feel overjoyed when I find a pro v1 but now I only buy Inesis tour 900 from decathlon. £20 a dozen and performs exactly like a pro v. Feel and distance is so identical it's weird. Great vid as always boys. Love the channel so much. 👍👍

I use a sirixon distance in the winter because it's a hard ball so it stops quicker in my opinion and a Callaway chrome soft in the summer because I can get more spin 👍

Kirkland's do all I need for a dollar a ball. Plenty of spin and distance. The 3 piece hold up just fine.

I have played ad 333 regularly and been very happy with the performance on the course feeling that I don’t warrant a better ball until I improve my game and consistency, don’t like a hard ball like Nike sft as when you mishit it in the cold your arm drops off
