    Hi Chuck, great work on the dead drill. Also glad Nolen sent an actual ball hitting video which puts to rest that his improvement is real. I also took the dead drill boot camp and had a before and after video. It was actually the after that made me work a bit more on my swing .. it sucked. It took me a bit to realize my path was so far down the line that there could be no hip rotation but plenty of flip. I got my hand path closer to the body and all is great. The down the line exit point of my follow through was through was out my neck, now it is out of the shoulder and the last four rounds have been 70, 72, 71 and 73. I was struggling to break 80 when I did the after video. My fault for not utilizing the offer during the boot camp of reviews. All is great now and I look forward more great rounds. At 68 years of age and playing a 6800 yard course, shooting my age is not far off. Thanks again.

      Awesome David! Those are GREAT scores - you'll shoot your age in no time! You'll have to spot me a couple strokes if you keep this pace up!

    Rotary Swing principle has improved my game & saved my lower back. The DEAD drill is something I can do in my apartment. Handicap dropped 4 strokes this season (now coming to a close in Indiana). THANK YOU, CHUCK!!!

    Chuck, my story this year involves your DEAD drill, that I have been teaching to a few of my coworkers (they have become RotarySwing members now too). Most specifically, I have been practicing myself what I (you) have been teaching them. So, I will get right to it. This year has been a terrible golf year for me. I haven't played so little of golf in a year as I have this year. Just been too busy with too many things this year (it's terrible !!) I haven't even been able to play a full 18 holes this year. I have played perhaps forteen 9 hole rounds and that's it!!! ... but, because I have continued to practice my drills (DEAD drill mostly) both indoors and in my backyard practice facility, I have been able to maintain my swing very well. As I said, I have not been able to play an 18 hole round this year, but, I was finally able to play 15 holes (due to darkness) with the guys I have been helping this year. Unfortunately, I was having a very good round when darkness fell upon us ... finishing up 15 holes at -5 !! ... and that was with starting the round with a bogie !!! .. yep .. 1 bogie & 6 birdies in 15 holes !! ... not too shabby for a 56 year old guy who has to spend far too much time sitting at a computer (computer programmer) .. and there is no way I could have done this if not for continuing to practice my RST drills (DEAD drill mostly) when I have the time (which is pretty darned easy). We also got an artificial practice and chipping green at work (really nice one too!). I am kicking everyone's butt on the practice green ... hahaha ...
    Thanks Chuck !!! ... Once again, I owe all of my good golf to you !!! ... BTW, my coworkers think I am a golf God now and that I should be playing on tour .. hahahaha!!! .. that's funny!
    Keep up the great work Chuck !!! ... I will continue to support you until the end of time! ... you have the BEST golf instruction on the planet !!! .. absolutely bar none !!!

    Is there going to be putting boot camp? I hit the ball decently (thanks RST and Craig!) but I suck at putting and short game. I pretty much know what to do but I lose it while playing in a tournament.

  • @schnare1
    @schnare1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That is an amazing transformation for sure! But my swing also looks perfect without a ball and as soon as I film it with the ball its very flippy! And no I'm not pushing from the right side that's been turned off for years now. So I'm going to take the boot camp Chuck and if my flip is still there on video when I'm hitting a ball you will be hearing from me!!! Haha

    • @davidschnare6833

      Honestly It feels like it breaks down as soon as I strike the ball almost like the force does it?

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Schnare nope! Try again! You’re either pushing from the right or pushing with the left thumb. Since you’re convinced it’s not the right then it would have to be your thumb. But the bigger question is why are you relying on your feel? The camera doesn’t lie. Show me your swing and I’ll show you what’s happening

    What do you think about the tour striker plane mate?

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      michael donaldson I don’t like most training aids. It’s better to learn how to move correctly. A training aid is worthless if you take it away and revert back to your old movements which is what usually happens

    • @michaeldonaldson8508
      @michaeldonaldson8508 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      RotarySwing.com Golf Instruction thanks I do follow your downswing tips with the knee over foot then the hips and turn but I can’t get rid of the casting motion in a full swing. I’m gonna try the plane mate to see if gets rid of it

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      michael donaldson can I be honest? A training aid is not what you need. Save your hard earned dollars. If you’re casting you’re either pushing with the right arm or left thumb. That’s it. Try this. Video your swing and take your right arm and left thumb completely off the club and make a few practice swings focusing on rotating your chest in the way back to move the club. Video it and watch what happens.

    • @michaeldonaldson8508

      RotarySwing.com Golf Instruction im guessing I take off left hand and right thumb since I’m left handed right? How long would it take to groove this so I can hit balls while doing it with both hands on the club

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      michael donaldson yes reverse it for lefty. The time it takes to groove is the same for everyone. It takes 3-5k reps to master a new movement pattern.

  • @tildenparkgolfclub5165
    @tildenparkgolfclub5165 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Looks good but would it be the same if he was hitting a ball probably not

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Tilden Park Golf Club you have to start without the ball first. Once the movement is ingrained with enough reps then the brain will always use the new movement pattern. So yes it will look the same. You can’t simply swing different because there’s a ball there. Even that crappy swing that shows up over the ball is a movement pattern you learned and grooves by continuing to do the same poor movements over and over.

    • @Rotaryswing

      golffox huh? Did you watch the video? It explains it in detail. His power source is his body now not his arms

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      golffox if you saw the video then you know the issue when ur practice swing and real swing aren’t the same is when you’re powering the swing with your arms which he clearly is no longer doing. If your practice swing looks like this your real swing will be quick to follow

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      golffox I’m not sure how else to explain this to you. I’ve already written it in crayon. Best of luck to you

      @thomasgolft 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Golffox I believe that your assumption "golf swing without ball" = "practice swing" is not shared by Chuck, therefore his answers do not match your question thus causing frustration on both sides.

  • @drharryg

    Chuck,
    Slightly disappointed that you didn't pick someone actually hitting a golf ball. As we
    discussed, "practice" swings and real swing are often not the same. Still, he did a
    great job!

      @@Rotaryswing I just feel that the top award should have been given to someone demonstrating the greatest improvement actually hitting a golf ball.

    • @Rotaryswing
      @Rotaryswing  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Harry Goldmark, M.D. there are many more still to be awarded and hitting balls. I care about movement. If the movement is correct then doing it while hitting balls is a no brained. What everyone fails to realize who’s complaining about it not being with a ball and that they’re practice swings and swings hitting a ball aren’t the same is that they’re practice swings are incorrect as well.
