    Well done. I appreciate how you used Shapeshifter. Adding the triangles was very clever. The best thing for me was how you flipped the piece and re-gridded to do the engraving on the back. It is a great improvement on the original.

    Mineral Oil is not food safe per se.

      Neither are artificial Color’s or flavours.

      "Dosis sola venenum facit" - it's the amount consumed that will decide if a substance is toxic or not. In the case of mineral "saturated" oils, the toxicity stems from the effect on lung tissue and less on the digestive system. I personally would never use mineral oils on any wood, food contact or not. Linseed oil is my favourite but sunflower oil should work as well.
