Can you add the functionality to have the option to automatically adjust the cut depth to your encoded depth? When you display what your encoded depth is have a button/icon to tap on to cut and paste that value into your cut depth instead of manually typing it in.
Might want that for your final pass -like double click to set or a button to set it. However if you start the cut and it automatically goes to half an inch right away, you're going to have a problem without stepping down into it. I think that's where autopass comes into play
I meant before you start your cut the tool will warn you that the cut depth is greater than your encoded depth. When you tap on it to display what the encoded depth is you have to manually correct your depth cut. I was wondering if they can add a button/icon to automatically update the depth cut instead of typing it in. I didn’t mean to automatically adjust the depth cut while cutting. That would be cool though but it would have to know what pass you’re on to adjust the depth accordingly.
@@markpotenza1894 I think what you describe is exactly what happens. You are on a .5 inch deep encoded line, the machine is set to cut .625, when you click green for cut, you are warned. You have the option to cancel or cut anyway. edit... check out at about 14:50 in the video
@@80211Denver Thanks I’ll check it out. If I remember correctly using your example you have to type in .5 if you want to correct the cutting depth. I was thinking to just tap on the .5 encoded depth or an icon next to it to automatically update the cutting depth to .5. Less typing less chance for error. Thanks again.
I use Studio for simple things, unfortunately it's missing some things like the custom anker point. And I am using FreeCAD an Inskape for more complex things, but exporting isn't as easy. Fusion is great and I used it a lot before, but it's not available for linux, which is my favorite operating system. Thanks for the update!
Didn't catch the live show I use Corel CAD to create my SVG Files. It's a less expensive AutoCad LT -works with native DWG file formats and has a nearly identical interface, command line input, etc. I grew up using autocad so it's very natural. I do use Fusion but find it clumsy... never really got into 3D stuff. Corel CAD does have 3D capabilities but I don't know how it might apply here I also use Corel Draw rather than illustrator -especially for text projects like inlays. Again... far less expensive tools I grew up with.
200 for the autopass is an impudence

In the questions at the end of the live session they mentioned an ap to copy objects shapes - something kaiser. Does anyone know the full name? Thanks
CorelDraw is my go to, then I run it through Shaper studio to prepare for cutting.
I use mostly Fusion 360 and Inkscape for my SO. I have the Studio subscription and will be using it more. I also use SolidWorks, OnShape, and Nanocad.
Fusion 360 is my most used. Maybe Studio, after this update.
I use various cad , mainly sketchup and fusion, but also solidworks and topsolid. For 2d qcad and vector sw like vectonator, illustrator and affinity
Affinity design and lightburn are my go to programs for producing my svg files.
Affinity designer (just got V2) and Fusion 360. Have used Illustrator but want to get away from Adobe annual licence costs.
I use Sketchup and Illustrator, the face svg plugin comes with depth encoding 👍
Jenner is also a mountain in bavaria near Berchtesgaden.
