This is the pinnacle of what Minecraft was meant to be: the perfect combination of mechanical skill expression, creative strategies, and well-paced progression. Every stage of the run is different, has its own ups and downs, and is just plain fascinating to watch. I really think part of the appeal is how these runs reflect the ultimate human spirit: of approaching an impossible problem with creativity and persistence, and gradually improving little by little until you overcome every obstacle. I love this challenge. To me, it's the culmination of so many technological improvements in Minecraft over its existence all coming together to achieve one ultimate goal. Not just redstone tech, but speedrunning tech as well. As silly as the goal may be, you cannot deny it is an insanely difficult challenge. It's the perfect challenge, always seeming just barely possible, but always falling short. Always seeming so bright in the beginning, but a downward spiral near the end. It always keeps you on your toes. It takes a colossal amount of time, dedication, and skill to complete this challenge, so be proud!!!
Can you imagine being a villager, humble and calm, in a small little hamlet that’s history spans generations before your own…then some dude shows up in armor and wings, and begins hastily enslaving you and all your loved ones, recklessly ignoring the laws of the natural world with farms, and then leaving, only to come back and build a farm suspended in the air, covering the ENTIRE VILLAGE with dirt and chests?! Thats horrifying!
This is why in-lore steve is so terrifying. Sure, maybe during the beginning he's weaker than glass. But if you allow him to reach his full potential he becomes a god-like being capable of twisting nature to his whim.
