The "I send them money, they send me stuff" line kills me every time. Hoping to see this setup at symposium. The low LPVO setup makes sense to me with dot on top more than the offset.
this company is doing great things and their blowing up (not literally) but their barrel and jam nut system and the seemless lockup between the upper and the rail in awesome, plus using a modified A5 receiver extension. soft shooting accurate rifles!
Are they still making the BAMF? Kind of wish I picked it up, back then, had a lot of inventive features, but I picked up a Hodge Defense and a Patriot Ordinance Factory Renegade+ 10.5. Now looking at a Nemo and then a NV setup.
Awesome setup! What trigger is in it, or does Cobalt have their own? Also that little trick of running the sling end through the brace strap is genius! Can't believe I've never thought of that before now, lol.
Gesslie has a forged upper and lower(stronger) Cobalt is billet. Not as strong but prettier. Gessile has a superior but underated barrel. It is Cold Hammer forged all the way to the chamber for added strength where as the Cobalt is just reamed and polished. The Geisslie also has a sub MOA capable barrel like the Cobalt. As for BCG's I'll let you do your own research on that but the TH-cam channel (School of American Rifle) has an autopsy video of the Gessile EBCG. The Geisslie super 42 buffer spring is also far superior to the Cobalts Sprinco Spring. Biggest selling point, the Geisslie comes in at $600 dollars cheaper on average. If you feel bad about having a Super duty or URGi, don't! The Cobalt Kinetics is just going through it's influencer hype cycle, guys will say it's the best thing ever because they got it for free. Bill Gessile does not give out free guns to influencers so you don't get the same kinda hype.
@@KineticConsulting I didn't realize you have a barrel with them too. As soon as they have them back in stock, I'm definitely going to have to pick one up!
How's the steiner mps compare to other micro dots under NODS, like the rmr, t2, 509t, etc..., I'm thinking of getting one to 12 o'clock mount for passive aiming
Is the “gas in the face” when suppressed mainly due to the gas system or due to the barrel length? Will a 10.5 or 11.5 inch barrel short stroke piston like the HK416 still have the “gas in the face” issue when suppressed?
I like the performance of both of those lasers over everything else. The rein 2 has a lot I like about it. One of the big reasons is it doesn't shut off momentarily to dim when keeping it on for a longer duration
I would say it's the least expensive, made by the dudes that make barrels for a lot of the companies out there that have their logo on a barrel, it shoots great from my experience with them. Gas and accuracy have been solid. Most of them like heavier bullets for accuracy like 75-77gr
The only things I have negative about cobalt is when building your rifle you can't choose handguard lengths in .5 inch increments. its either weird measurements like 6.75, 11.8, 13, 15.5. I would definitely like to run 14.5 barrel with 15 handguard instead of 14.5/15.5. I don't really understand the concept of 11.8 handguard and 11.5 barrel either. Also it makes you choose 3 different muzzle devices which confuses me because if you're wanting to run an RCB-KM for the dead air keymo you have to select it 3 times? That's adding like 280 something dollars to an already expensive 2400 build. By the time you order suppressor, optic, sling, and light, you're already at around 4.8-5k. Thats not even including optics like vortex.
I'm curious, why would you put a variable optic on such a short rifle? It would seem that a red dot would be sufficient for an AR-pistol/SBR engagement distance; even at harassing fire ranges it would make sense? Are you just looking for the magnification at longer range for target acquisition that would be harder with a red dot? Loved the video.
By putting a variable optic on there, it definitely enhances what I'm able to PID. With a barrel like the one in here and good ammo, the is now a 600yd or even further (I've shot to 800yds) kind of gun. Don't put limits on your guns just because they are shorter. Learn what they are capable of and practice to those distances.
It definitely makes it's best groups with 77gr stuff, consistently under an inch at 100. It will shoot anything and group decent with duty ammo. With range ammo, depending on quality I see various group sizes. Usually in the 2-3in sizes
@@KineticConsulting realized after I sent that message who I sent it to. Lol I just picked up the barrel but haven't had a chance to put it in. Looking forward to trying it out.

Bro that mount is badass. Love that concept!
I LOVE my 11.5 BCM Recce upper with Radian lower. I have other much more "gucci" setups but my 11.5 is by far my favorite.

A very capable setup!
Really nice setup bro.... everything on it is nice af man, with the huxwrx 👌
Yup, I feel the same way about Cobalt.
Can’t wait for the C1G sling!
Thank you for this. I will be contacting cobal about the buffer system that’s badass. Also the patrol gas is interesting thanks again.

I have a geissele ssa in it but Cobalt has something sexy coming
@@KineticConsulting Nice, thanks!
Sir, how does the “patrol length” gas system compare in length to the “mid-length” gas system?
It's in between carbine and mid length.
How does that Cobalt compare to a Gessile?
I sold my geissele a while back because it didn't compare

Can we get a video on that flow 556?
When I've had it long enough
what is the best 80% lower to use with your upper? Did you attempt to match any of them in machining?
Not sure man. That's not something I looked into because it has its own lower.
So, Rosco is running that Patrol length on their 11.5 and the Sage 12.5?
Nope. Their 11.5 is carbine. The Kinetic k9 barrel is patrol just like the sage k9 barrel.

Pretty good, much like the others.
Love that. "I send them money, and they send me products." Capitalism defined.
Sicc!
Is the “gas in the face” when suppressed mainly due to the gas system or due to the barrel length?
Will a 10.5 or 11.5 inch barrel short stroke piston like the HK416 still have the “gas in the face” issue when suppressed?
It has to do with barrel, gas tube length, suppressor and a few other things. The biggest factor is the suppressor in my experience.
@@KineticConsulting thanks a ton!
I was under the impression that the “patrol length” was only in the 12.5 Sage barrel. Rosco did a patrol for 11.5 too….?
Yup. It's the Kinetic Consulting K9 barrel
I’ve noticed that barrel on Roscos website for a few months. Do you know when they plan to release it?
Not sure yet
Just ordered mine last week.
Wish the magpod gen 3 was out
It's coming as always

Yep
Any update on when the fernilab mawl light mount is going to be available?
The mount will be available on my website sometime in January.
Looks dope, a little disappointed for the price it comes with a $130 barrel though. Feel for that price point should have something a little better.
you want a proof research in your gun or what?
@@perlenbacher6788 don’t need proof, but criterion certainly would have been more acceptable.
Its a fantastic barrel 416r stainless with a beautiful target crown. And awesome gas system.
Video on 6 ARC when?!
When I do it lol
Hey Jon, heard you mention on the Big Tex Podcast you found the H3 buffer ran the best, was that an A5 length tube or carbine?
A5
Do you have a unique Flatline Fiber Co brace strap? I run my brace folded the same way as you do, but my fiberco strap has a lot more extra length.
There are 2 of them from them if they still offer the folded version
@@KineticConsulting Thanks for the info! I need to hit them up to see what's the right model.
How does it shoot with NO can on it with that gas length ?
@@brandondane4777 pretty damn smooth man. It surprised me

11.5 gang gang
The mawl mount is brilliant.
So are the mini pic rails.
Inspiring.
How much does it weigh
What size throw lever did you use with annex defense?
The smaller of the 2 on my 1-10
