I thought that the NHSTA no longer allows three wheelers that look like cars, i.e. doors, side by side seating, steering wheels, etc. to classify as a motorcycle. If so, couldn't Sondors sell their vehicle as a kit? I would think they could be even cheaper if they didn't have to assemble them.

It looks much more comfortable than other three-wheeled vehicles. But one thing that makes me a little "uncomfortable" is the very narrow rear. To other vehicles it will look like a motorcycle from behind.
0 to 60 in 6 seconds is about equal with most most sub-compacts which is acceptable as long as it has all the same amenities but a $10k price is secondary to the need for regen braking, especially for an EV that looks as good as this one does......
They won't actually sell them for that. That's just to get attention, headlines, deposits, investments, etc. You won't find a single person to give them $10k and actually receive one of these (I'd be happy to be proven wrong, but I won't be)
I LOVE this car, however, realistically there is no way they can offer this for $10,000 and still make money. a 33 kw battery would be the majority of the cost to manufacture/buy for the company. Unless these were all made in China including the cells, there is no way it could be offered for this little.

Imagine that group of investors is going to front you the money of close to 400 million and they want their people in control. So you can thank Paul Elio's big head / ego for killing that deal. If you Google "Professor Elio Seat" same thing occurred. A seat was designed, a manufacturer was willing to tool up and Paul Elio refused to relinquish any control so deal fell thru.. in both cases Paul walks away with millions, no product is produced. Wish Paul ELIO would realize that any investors are going to want to have a say-so, he is going to have to relinquish control to get the start-up money...

I like the way it looks, but watch out with Sondors, years ago his prototype electric bicycle used better equipment than the production version from people got from China, which actually cost about $700 after shipping. The Sondors bike was OK, but its speed was limited to 20 mph. Instead I built my own electric bicycle with a top speed of 30mph, full suspension, and with safety systems equal to a street legal motorbike for $700. Not a easy project and it is more for the backyard mechanic.
It's nice looking. One of the better three wheeler's I've seen. Still that said I'd prefer a slimmer tandem design, ideally with some kind of tilting. Someone bring back the Carver and at a much lower price point.
