    What a nice track! It looks like you had a blast...especially after you got by the noobs. It looked like a perfect day being out there!
    SV's are such an under-rated bike. I really enjoy my K5.

    Missed the opening track day at Hallet raceway on my K6 due to deployment. can't wait to get back to the states and romp around and that wonderful Vtwin of mine.

    Just bought an N, its pure pleasure to see this engine F up everything in front with the right rider connecting seat and bars

      "this engine F up everything in front" hm WELL almost everything with 100HP at the rear wheel "with the right rider will drive faster than those .in front. in this video" -tho. But anyway i love Suzuki L Twins. sv650 dl650, my all time fav is suzuki TL- S red and round. 996power to the tyres!!! :)

    looking to get one of these after having sold my 650s for a gsxr 600 and discovering how much i miss the torque of the SV. Are you using stock rearsets?

    I have always wondered why these didn't sell any better than they did. I love mine.

      upside downdog I think it was due to emissions! It’s a model that had loads of room for improvement.
      Suspension, chassis, brakes, and mostly the engine had loads of potential!

      upside downdog this video was before I fitted quick shifter and tweeked the suspension up. I was lapping 2/3 seconds quicker

      Bimota used the TL version for one of their bikes so it must be a good one. I read a British mag where they rode one on the autobahn and drafted a Hayabusa almost hitting 200mph on it. The DL is still using its version.

      I love mine as well. I crush most all super sports on three street. They seemed shocked when they find out they got spanked by a 60 year old on a b-day twin...non Ducati.

      @@123gtt Glorious indeed. What would you consider a reasonable asking price for the sv1000s? There is one listed in my area for around 3500 that really hasnt been molested anf remains fairly stock (give or take). I love my 83VT750 but am growing quite bored of it and would like to step up.

      They are a good solid round bike, if it’s been well serviced the price is bang on for a very clean one. If you can pick up a SZ model you’ll be better off. They have a slightly higher compression and bigger throttle bodies.
      Front end benefits from a up grade, and rear shock

      That’s the beauty of big Vtwins, all the power is lowdown. But it was skimming the red line
