2:40 - My dude, this position on pawn endgames in which the kings face each other is the famed "opposition". In this, since kings cannot meet, the player with the move has the disadvantage, for the only possible moves for them are taking the king out of the way, so the other side can win or, in this case, draw. Unless... The drawing side takes its king away from the front of the pawn. That... That just loses the game haha Thanks for the vid, it was great!
This video brought a tear to my eye, multiple of them in fact. It was quite heartfelt. I do declare that this is, in fact, the best typical low elo chess match featuring the vocal stylings of the black and white queens and rooks.
I have finally found this video again! It was my first exposure to the whole Baka Mitai thing back in 2021. I just wanted to say thank you, it's actually a really good song.
When the white queen sings at 00:12 the "This is wrong" (だめだね, dame da ne) part of the lyrics it cracked me up... and then the black queen syncs at 00:50 singing "Really!? (ほんまに, honma ni)" after the king blunders I spat my coffee, it was just perfect.
Not sure how it can be both best and typical, but wow. White just does not care about his back rank, Black saw the Eric Rosen video but cannot follow up, Botez gambits with both queen and rook, sudden reversals of fortune, this video has everything.
To be honest, 1600s still blunder a lot, like for example in "my Typical Chess Match Baka Mitai" video but are just more consistent, these 800s games are plot twists all over the place, love it!

I don’t even play chess and I am fucking wheezing in agony
I’m honestly surprised the guy knew how to walk his pawn down the board without blundering it
and how to queen king checkmate properly without stalemating on accident. 900 is somewhat decent-ish.
But once black king was behind white pawn there was no need of king support,
once you 1200 you stop blundering pieces (unless it's a tactic 😋)
