"Speed and memory decline with age."
Hikaru: 🧠
Kramnik: "Very interesting."
Next paranoia is about brain implants hahahaha
Magnus memory : 💀
Asian
Memory you say?
Kramnik is older anyway
Lets do the prodecure.
Hikaru: I'm getting old
Also Hikaru:
Hans clearly ragequit halfway through this
Hans doesn't have software to handle this on his device
@@genedios4473 Hmmm. Ofc my answer here is unrelated to hans. But generally i would guess that a devive able to handle undetectable cheating software is also able to handle those tests here 🤔
Hikaru made 9 of 15 by speaking at some topics also...crazzy
Well 9 is easy to get thats where the average is
That's because he has trained this before
In his streams, he destroys 2500s while constantly talking to the chat
15 in the memory test is very strong, but 9 for Ali and Magnus seems surprisingly week. I just tried it and got 14 on my first attempt.
I had no chance in the mouse speed test, I got over 500ms
@@asiamies9153 This is not something easily trainable, Hikaru has this specific type of visual short memory superior to Firoujza and Magnus even
Kramnik: interesting
Let's begin the procedure
Hikaru why are your eyes always beside the monitor? im just asking questions..
They are cheating
Kramnik: interesting
TH-cam: Translate to English
me: LOL
hikaru killed the memory test
its easy to get 14 and higher, don't move your eyes, keep loking at the center (because your eyes will still highlight the white squares afterwards for like 1~2 sec), and do as quickly as possible, if you take too long you'll forget it.
@@MatsMatsuo Infact there is an easy trick to solve any remaining squares: Just close your eyes.
@@MatsMatsuo lol. Now we wanna see a video of you "easily" getting 14 and higher...
He is the murderer
@@jasonmdt getting to 14 is easy, if you look at the human benchmark site they have a chart of the average performance. Quite a lot of people get to 14 but then fail at 15+
I am the fastest mouse of chess. Allthough every move is a blunder.
You will not get likes 😏
@@introvoi I will make sure bro does
Yet another unoriginal, uninteresting comment by an moronic patzer wanting internet attention for being “relatable” in his ineptitude. Wow, you are atrocious at chess. How fascinating.
@@mirceatim3274 see he got 31 likes already
idiot thinks hes funny
Hmm so Hikara Nakamoora got 15 in memory test? I have some good friends in statistics, they have calculated that 15 is impossible. Now lets do the procedure. First i block, then report. Also, i am quiting benchmark test immediately so he doesnt get tiebreaks because he is a thief. I'm not accusing anyone, it's just how maths work.
Very funny, loved it!
No its possible, he is not a normal human, he very fast for his age, mentaly sharp, very good memory, amd process data faster that the average human. You are not dealing with an average human anymore, he is a super human of the legends
@@silloo2072 Kramnik...
@@silloo2072 oh.... oh no
@@silloo2072 Nah, it's impossible. He's cheating, therefore, the OP is right. We must do the procedure, block then report, and then quit Human Benchmark Test because it's full of cheaters. I'm not accusing anyone, that's just how humans work. If they don't get the same score as me, then they must be cheating.
hikaru got that chimp memory
I don't agree. If you read three big books to the three of them and then ask like 100 very specific questions to them about the book, Hikaru and Alireza will get many questions right, but Magnus might well get all the 100 right. He remembers every play of every game, and this is really important both for speed chess and classical chess. And besides chess, this test is also much more important for real life than the visual memory test they made.
@@miguelvital7351 He's referring to that chimps beat humans in that type of test. Hikaru beat Magnus in that type of test. Hikaru is 1,000 smarter than a chimp, but a chimp will beat him in the visual memory test.
@@miguelvital7351 Not really. As long as your mind has patterns developed for certain thing, you can slide those things easily and can register them as memory much faster. Easy memory for easier patterns which are well known to your brain.
Magnus will perform as same as other, and better ONLY if he's practiced such a test before more than others, as you can see Hikaru performed better because he already has more experience in these test than the other two.
You have to remember, Magnus started playing chess from MUCH, MUCH younger age than any of the top GMs which shaped his mind from the start for such memory.
He is asian afterall.
@@clatzeo Magnus is just intellectually gifted and would certainly outperform people with the same amount of chess training. That's just genetics. And you mind does not have to be "develop for a certain thing". If you are like me for example, someone gifted with good genes you could excel at any memory test --- I just have an unfair advantage
It says Human Benchmark, Hikaru is an Alien.
nah he's just actually done these tests before, they're very trainable
@@zTeaTheCoffee He said he did them while with redbull...which was in 2015 lol
@@vercot7000 yeah but 1. knowing the premise is honestly enough to have a significant advantage, and 2. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he's probably done them at some point on stream

that was a weird one, he looked lost 😂😂
Where's Andrew Tang when you need him? 😂
I thought Carlsen would win the memory test, but Hikaru just obliterated here. So I think even though Hikaru has proven that his sensory memory is better than Carlsen's, Carlsen has probably a better long term memory
@@maheshdawanihow do you know that?
Ur statement is partially true bcoz these tests prefer those who have good short term memory and hikaru doesnt has better long memory in chess than magnus
this is just a really specific test. yes short term vs long term memory is a huge factor, but it's also so different with each of the tests. for me, i'm 98 percentile for sequence memory and chimp test, 98.5 for number memory, 100 for verbal memory, but.. the best i can get for this specific "visual memory" test is 22 percentile lmao
@@user-ee1lo1il3f yeah, you're right, there are lots of others tests to measure short term memory. So is there an online test that gives these results you showed us here?

but he got least score in speed test right?
@@kinshuksrivastava6128 No, he got the highest as shown. Lesser the time to complete the task, speedier you are. It was obvious, dude.
12:01 look at magnus face 😂😂
Its good to see that I and Magnus are at the same level on things non-chess
"call of duty or something along those lines" bro talks about everything like he's talking about chess
Hkaru lives up to his name, 'Speed Demon' 👍
I love that apart from interviews they just didn't bother making Hans do these side stuff to save them a headache lmao
The fact that Magnus plays the best despite having the worst scores just makes me more impressed.
I love the fact, that these players do such things just for fun and let us fans watch them. They are such nice guys, it´s easy to be a chess fan with characters like this at the top.
Hikaru reminds me of a true genius, part of me wonders what he would've accomplished if he was in academics instead of chess.
He has a talent for chess. Doesn't mean he would be good at science
@@voroboosher I meant it in a way that, hikaru made it big in streaming, even though magnus and alireza tried streaming they're nowhere as big as hikaru. Magnus was really popular outside of chess even before streaming but couldn't translate that fame into being a streamer.
In the sense of a "genius", hikaru is good at everything he tries and can become one of the best if not the best.
And a part of me wondered what he could accomplish in other walks of life.
@@specificuser2650 yes hikaru is not just a genius at chess, he is very versatile and would be very successful, even without ever touching a chessboard.

Magnus trying to hide his episodic memory 😂
I refuse to believe that I could better Magnus at a memory test. It felt he did not even try. He is seriously putting up an act. 😅
For the speed test, I got 559 miliseconds, and for the memory, one got to level 11.
Not Taking danya here is a crime

@@siddheshnaik5296 it's very interesting 🧐
Andrew Tang: Do you think I’m a joke?
The fact that the players are talking about Hans without him being included is diabolical💀. (This is from Speed chess championship)
Either they just thought that Hans would also participate or footage of Hans was removed
If its just mouse speed and mouse accuracy no one comes close to andrew tang.
No point in being the fastest shooter if you blast the wrong targets 😂😂
hyperbullet vs bullet vs blitz are all very diferent
Meanwhile Hans : "Chess clicks for itself" *walks away*
lmao
When chess becomes an aim game, no wonder hikaru was practicing on aimlab :D
It easily can be, especially in low time scenarios it can be very helpful to avoid mouse slips
Hikaru is just a different beast!
the memory test is probably much easier if you've played a lot of go, for instance. your brain learns to recognize a lot of formations like those ones.
Really nice to see "non-chess" vids with these top players

I love how different they think and play. Practice, calculation, intuition
The skills of Hikaru always surprise me. He did that memory test insanely fast while talking to host at the same time. And the aim test was pretty good, considering that he wasn't familiar with the mouse and probably didn't get to tweak the mouse settings to his taste.
Ok, everything is clear now. Let's do the procedure.
it just shows what i think. if magnus wasnt born. hikaru would be the dominating wc. man is a natural genius

Alireza and Magnus on memory test 😬
That one made me feel good, because I got one level higher than both of them on my first try on the memory test. All 3 of them beat me on the speed test, though. However, my slow mouse and higher friction mouse pad may contribute to that.
@@TheAmazingest Exactly I scored 11 on the visual memory one but I am sure this means nothing. Theres no way Magnus is 2 levels below me in anything memory or chess related lol.
@@arnabgupta9331 Same kinda I got 13 on memory and beat them all except hikaru on speed. Speed seems less important than memory for chess though (or not according to their results)
They should have them go to a bar together for a few hours then come back and try again
Hans crushed on the speed test. I didn't even see him go.
Having the Jedi Master himself, James Canty III host this video was a great idea.
Magnus getting worst score at both tests proves that neither speed nor memory matters in chess. 😂
To be fair, Hikaru practices this semi-regularly on stream
I think the memory test should give you more time to remember. Now this is a pretty pointless test because you never have that little time to memorize in real life.
