  • After several unsuccessful attempts to use a microneedle dermaroller, I tried out the Qure Micro-infusion facial system which uses a little needling stamp attached to a bottle of growth factor serum so you’re getting the benefits of microneedling and you’re adding an infusion of serum at the same time.
    In this review I’ll talk you through how the Qure system works, the pros and cons, how I’m using it and my results so far.

    • @acechadwick
      @acechadwick ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I agree with @biner59. I have dermaroller or do my own only every 3 months. Apparently you can destroy collagen if you do it at a deep rate more than every 6 weeks. It takes that long for new collagen to build. If you keep battering the skin it doesn't have time to repair. Less is more with microneedling. I personally only do deep 3 times per year. Needle at 1.6 mm

      Claire about adipeau but I purchased a few bottles myself. I consistently use the serum on my smile lines, the 11 between the eyes and even a small amount under my eyes (hallows) and lips for a slight plump. It is likely a product I will use forever.
      I used to use the frowies every night but as soon as I removed it, the lines would gradually start coming back. Adipeau works better and I no longer use frownies. Plus the skin pulling that goes with removing the frowies stickies can’t be any good.

    I'm glad you tried Qure. I used it for a couple months last Winter, but then I got an Airshot device that uses air currents to create the channels instead of a physical needle and like it much better. I found the requirement not to use retinol/acids the day before or after (at least) too inconvenient and also the pain and bother made me dread using it. I think I only used 3 of 6 vials I bought. The airshot I can get myself to use once a week and don't have to change my routine around it other than not using Vit C that morning or retinol that evening, depending on when I use the device.
    I noticed you left getting the metal clip off the serum vials out of your video. I really would have loved to see your technique. I destroy at least one nail every time I have to open one of them. Another reason I don't think I'll ever wind up going back to the Qure.
    On another note, I used your coupon to get OneSkin and am absolutely loving it! Definitely works wonders on my skin and worth the price, at least for now. Thanks for introducing me to it.

    • @thehonestchannel
      @thehonestchannel  ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I'll need to look at the Airshot device - sounds interesting.
      I use a retinal every other day at the moment and I haven't changed my routine.
      I think I'm removing the metal clip wrong because I just pull the whole thing off, unplug the vial and pour out the serum. Not sure it's the best design really, but I just liked the fact I've found something I find I'm using regularly and can tolerate.
      Now I've got into it, I'll no doubt try some other options along the way.
      I'm so glad you like OneSkin. My mum loves it and I've had a few viewers say they're seeing good results, but a few others who said it did nothing.
      That's skincare for you!

    I use a .25 roller infrequently and still see a result. I don't find it painful, but my face and especially my neck itches afterward. So I use lidocaine 4% so I dont lose my mind. Just recently I bought a litle stamping bottle, not Qure and my own serum to fill it. It did not come with extra needle heads. I just wanted to see if this would work for me. @@thehonestchannel If you start on the lowest setting of 0.1 you won't feel a thing. Then each time, slowly increase to the desired setting.But it also depends on the pins used, the larger amount of pins cover the most area, and do not cause any discomfort regardless of needle depth. The pins come in sizes of 9,11, 36 and 42 for example, I normally get 9 or 11 size because i've adjusted the feeling and genuinely do not feel any pain or discomfort. They also supply a Nano pin, which is amazing with zero pain or discomfort, and you just use it to push all your serum in and wake up with beautiful rested skin.
      I think you'd love Dr Pen Clare. If you buy, go for the 36 Pins and the the 11, Start with the 36, which is totally pain free, and next time try the 11 on the lowest depth of 0.1.

      Good grief - is there anything you don’t use??? How can you possibly know which ingredient, lotion, or device is actually helping your skin when you start one while still using all of the others (at home devices, skin care lotions and treatments, and in office procedures? ) I’m curious as to how much time you spend on your face each day? I think there’s such a thing as too much and you are way too overly concerned with your looks. I like your interviews with dermatologists and other doctors who have real life experience with all of these different products, devices, procedures and techniques, and can report on the results they have seen objectively in their patients. That’s journalism. I think that is a much better way to bring us the information we need because your experience is your experience and doesn’t reflect what other people will experience or what their outcome will be. In other words, your viewers might expect one thing and end up with something entirely different. For example, I use this same micro needling device, and experience more than just a fingernail against my forehead when I use it! You could just skip on the expense of all your treatments etc and save up for a facelift. That’s the only thing that is going to stop fascia migration that occurs with aging to restore a youthful appearance to the face. People think it’s all about the skin but it isn’t. Well-known plastic surgeons often advise against 6:40 in office energy devices treatments because it’s not going to makemuch of a difference in someone over the age of 50-60 who will just need to repeat them in two years or less. So I’m curious as to how much you spend on your face each year - approximately - using all these things and getting all the treatments you bring to your viewers. That would give us an idea of what it might cost over the course of the next 15 to 20 years. Having said that I do use and like this micro infusion device. There is no risk and no downside or downtime, but it needs to be used consistently.

I ended up having SO much serum leftover that I ended up slathering it on my neck, chest, arms etc. I reached out to the company via email to ask for suggestions but they never replied. Best growth factors in skincare is the million dollar question! I have been using Calecim for quite a while now but my mum's been using OneSkin and feels there's a difference in her skin.
      My feeling is it will take time to tell which peptides and growth factors are most effective in our skin - and it may be different ones suit different skin types and we're just not there yet.
      I was impressed with the research behind the No7 Future Renew serum (I'd use that over the creams) and think it's a good low-cost option to try longer term. I think it takes at least 3 months if not longer to see any difference with these treatments. Hope that helps!

    I LOVE microneedling - I started doing it this year. I get it done at my derm's office with 2mm needles - it's definitely not for the faint of heart, but from the first use I noticed lifting and a noticeable difference in my pores. This microneedling system looks like it might be good for top ups. BTW, I'm 6 weeks into my Adipeau journey and I feel like I look.... prettier? More like my old self? I seem to photograph better, too, although if I take before and after photos I can't see any appreciable difference. You say you used it for 3 months - do the effects go away if you stop using it? Because though I'm happy so far, it sure is inconvenient to have that mega-oily face twice a day.

      I used the Adipeau for just under six months but saw the biggest results in 3. Did I reply to someone that I’d just used it for 3? D’oh!
      I feel like I’ve lost a little volume since stopping but I’ve also lost weight so it’s hard to say.

It’s very difficult to offer helpful advice without understanding more about your skin type, age etc. It sounds as if your skin is getting pulled by the mask so you may find something like microcurrent or sonic vibration helpful to stimulate your skin and also the muscle. I find vibration good for reducing eye puffiness.

      Re tretinoin, I don't think we have clear evidence that it causes fat loss - and I don't think that would necessarily be irreversible.
      My personal view is that some skin types cope with it better than others - and I think it's possible that some users (particularly if they start on too high a strength) can have a more severe inflammatory response which may contribute to the volume loss that we see anecdotal reports about. "Topical tretinoin causes dry eye."
      Ophthalmologists claim it causes death to the tear producing meibomian glands which leads to (possibly) irreversible dry eye.
      Some think that as long as people avoid rubbing the cream near the eyelids that they will not be harmed but others say that topical tretinoin becomes systemic and therefore it can harm the meibomian glands even if tretinoin is applied far from the eyelids.
