- The Nikon 50mm F1.8D Lens is one of the most UNDERRATED lens EVERY PHOTOGRAPHER needs! It’s also the cheapest lenses you can get for your Nikon Full Frame or Crop-Sensor dslr camera. It can capture amazing images wide open at F1.8 with minimal distortion and vignetting.

Awesome 👌 video and commentary 👌
Thanks a ton
amazing video
Glad you think so!
This lens is brilliant and should be in every Nikon shooter's bag. With over three million made since 2001 (AF-D version), they aren't hard to find. I've had three of them.
It certainly is a great lens at a budget price
Excellent review. I've had this lens for about 4 years. Use is on my D500 & D850. This is an FX lens. does this give it an effective focal length of 75 mm on a DX camera.?
Yes it does
Hi. Charles.
I own both the D & the G versions of that lens. The G is much better and not much more expensive and I used it as my primary lens for a wedding few years ago on my D800.Two years ago I added a Fuji X-T2 (new) for size & Fujifilm simulations , and because I have so many Nikon & Tamron lenses I bought lately a Fringer NF-FX (350$us) lens adaptor that can autofocus with many of my Nikon & Tamron lenses. The one I use the most on the Fringer are the Nikon DX 10-24; Nikon 18-140; Nikon 70-200 F2.8 II; Nikon DX 18-140, with great results. I bought 4 Fuji lenses before getting the Fringer that are much better optically & mechanically than the Nikon DX lenses but so much more expensive. I don't plan to buy any new Fuji lenses in the near future , what a relief financially.
This is a great video for beginners
Thank you for your thoughts
Note that on cameras such as the F-801 without certain contacts, the G version will not have aperture control…
My lens is infinity...cant adjust aperture...so its going to 1.4 all the time😁
What lens do you have, has this video talks about the Nikon 50mm f1.8 lens 🤔
Yeah i had 50mm f 1.8d from nikon..but my sigma..aperature cant be adjusted..always at 1.4...
@@Ranveer_Singh_Kahani Okay, I've had this happen to one of my Tamron lenses and I found out that it wasn't fully compatible with my Nikon Z6II and it used the f4 which was the base aperture of that lens.
Thanks, its like F-- cant be adjusted..nevermind i just buy a n adapter with aperture ring on it.
