None of these videos on fixing the random reset problem say that a loose, defective or dirty contacts on the Controller Port Ribbon Cable can cause a reboot, power off or no video and audio problem. I was having a problem with my Dreamcast that has a DCHDMI Mod getting a no video problem after the Produced By or Under License by Sega Logo screen when it loads a game or in my case loads the MODE Game Select Screen. I cleaned the pins on on the Power supply connection and bent the spring contacts towards the back but still got the same problem. I discovered it was the Controller Port when I forgot to plug in the Ribbon Cable and the video cut out after the Sega Logo. I have the Dreamcast DC DreamPSU alternate Power Supply so apparently it does not power off the Dreamcast when the Fan is not detected like the Stock Dreamcast Power Supply does so I never suspected it was a controller port issue that has the fan attached to it.
