Im mixed on a lot of these. Some sound great but switchaxe I much prefer the heavy sound effect of world and wouldnt you know it switchaxe is my main. Feels more sharp and less heavy sounding in wilds. Really hope they add back in more ooomph and hit stop
There's been a lot of buzz online with the hitlag. I wonder if they'll address it. After playing the beta, I'm mostly satisfied with sound effects. We do need more hitlag in some of the heavier attacks though.
Thanks for this vid. I am glad they mostly reverted sound effects back to World style, Rise style had a weird "kh-sok" sound on most bladed weapons, it felt really jarring. This feels better for what we've seen so far. Charge Blade especially feels more like a thunderstorm again.
Neat vid. Though honestly, I feel kinda mixed about some of these sound effects. Seems like they're trying to go more higher pitched for a lot of them? DBs especially sound really grating imo... Gunlance shelling on the other hand... My god they're beautiful!
Thanks, I kinda like the snappy "kick" of the World GL sounds but the ones in Wilds do sound more explosive which I like as well. As for the DB sounds, I think they want the attacks to feel "fast"? I dunno but I think they're fine. I'll wait how the elemental damage sounds will mix in the full game. The SNS fire sounds were pretty nice.
I've been wanting to hear a comparison for the Bowguns' sound effects... I like Wilds' more! And I like the head bonk for Hammer more in Wilds compared to World. The "sparkle" sound after the hit in World is satisfying and all, but it's noticeably delayed (probably intentionally. Again, it is SATISFYING, though). Wilds' sound feels more focused on the actual hit itself connecting, which is really cool. I like the Gunlance Shelling in Wilds more, too. I also like the ZSD finisher sound for Switch Axe more in Wilds. It has more of a crack/snap to it. Thanks for the video!
Hard to find more ammo sounds to compare right now unless you comb through the long gameplay demos. I think they adjusted the Wilds hammer sounds because the game seems to be slightly faster paced. I think I like the Hitlag & sounds in World better. I'm still torn between the GL Shelling sounds. I'm leaning towards the snappiness of World right now. Though Wilds has that crunchy explosiveness to them. I like the Wilds ZSD sounds better as well.
@@Carrot_M15 I didn't even think about the gameplay speed of Wilds compared to World. Yeah, I think you're right about the Hammer sound delay... I could see a delay being awkward/jarring in a faster paced environment

Welcome. I found the Rise sounds to be underwhelming as well. Thankfully most of the Wilds sounds are satisfying for me.
