If you had to kill the NPC's to get new items, there would be more of a challenge, and would be more interesting. Plus, the treasure bags should have only been in the loot pool after he defeats that boss.

If you want to be richer than Mansa Musa, then have Fargo's Mutant Mod and then buy mothron spawn eggs for 15 gold and summon them and in calamity they drop darksun fragments which each sell for 20 gold (One mothron drops around 1-30 darksun fragments)

Plantera’s bulb only spawns after beating the mechanical bosses. You looked for it before beating them and that is why you couldn’t find it.
