hey emil! I personally found this QR submock really difficult compared to the ones on Medify, so I was wondering whether your UCAT exam had an easier QR? If you can let me know about the accuracy of these official practice mocks in reflecting the real exam, please let me know! :) thanks
15:43 Wow super smart working I wouldn’t have thought to approach this like that Is this something where you had done a question similar and so knew how to approach this particular question? This is what has been keeping me up at night, is that my iQ is not high enough to think of solutions like this and yeah fair enough I can just learn from my mistakes and not make that mistake again but is that doable for every single question they could ask me? Or at least for most?
Yeah this is something I had seen in a similar question, but I do think that was a particularly hard question. For most questions you will have had some sort of exposure to them in the past!
Hi again, Can you explain to me how you would calculate q 19 step by step without the 'shortcut method' of halving the acceleration for the speed. Thanks a lot
If you're using uniform acceleration, you can create a velocity time graph, which will be linear. The distance underneath it represents the distance travelled. In that case, you have the final speed, 60 plus the initial speed 0, divided by 2 to find the average speed over the 6 seconds. Once you have the average speed of 30, you just use normal distance speed time equations to find distance.
Mostly it's because I've done a lot of practice and I know that I'll be able to finish most of what I need on time. The other thing I have to say is that I'm not actually doing the UCAT this year, so that does release a lot of pressure because the stakes aren't as high for me!
I love your videos bro. I was just wondering if the maximum 900 points you can score on a test is getting 100% of the answers correct or is there a threshold like that of scoring a 9 in the BMAT?
Hi! I'm not quite sure but I believe that it is pretty much getting full marks, or only getting 1 question wrong. It isn't usually much lower than that!
The main tip I have is to skip questions that are difficult at the start - which is what I did in this case. Another thing you can do is practice getting really fast with the calculator and doing more questions to understand how to isolate what calculations you need to do from the beginning.
For Q19, how did you know that o.o5 miles was driven at 30mph but 1.95miles was driven at 60mph. Like how did you know the speed was 60mph? Thanks a lot.
Yo how do i improve the understanding of table questions because right know i am just doing random numbers because i am confused with alot of these questions. Any help in what to do?
Read the question and scan the rows and columns of the table to get an idea of what you're looking for in terms of data. Focus in on key data points and use those to answer the question
At first, just spend hours doing untimed questions to build up your technique, then work on adding time pressure to the equation. Do one subtest a day and spend around 2hrs on it really focussing on getting the accuracy
@@EmilEddy For how long? i just started my ucat study for next year and im struggling a lot with maths principles. im not sure where to go to cover all the sub topics within QR to be ready. and im not sure for how long to do untimed for. ive started my practise consistently as of a week and a half ago.
$161.84 is actually the correct answer, the answer option is written incorrectly. I chose it because it was pretty much perfectly the same answer except for the 3.
bro my advice is that you don't actually flag questions, rather skip them and come back to them, but yes, use these keys to move onto the next/previous questions (alt + n & alt + p respectively) and to open the calculator (alt + c).
Could you please clarify why you used 30mph instead of 60mph for question 19. I know the keyword is 'uniform' but I still do not get it. Great video though!
I use 30mph because the car accelerates from zero to a top speed of 60mph over 6 seconds. Therefore the average speed during that time is just going to be (start speed + end speed)/2, which is 0+60/2 = 30mph. You're right in saying that the word "uniform" is what makes this true
@@lingge7757 You should use the average speed as that was what it was more or less going at through the entire 6 second journey and to find the average speed, when something accelerates uniformly you do the greatest speed (60) plus the lowest speed (0) divided by 2
Hi there, For Q13, how did you know to divide by the total frequency rather than just dividing by 5? And does frequency in this question mean the number of times parked within the time period? Thank you.
You've answered your own question! The frequency is the number of times parked in that time period. 100 in the first row means 100 people parked for 1 hour, which is why you divide by the total frequency

In uniformed acceleration, D=1/2x(V1+V2)xT, D1=1/2x(0+60)x(6/3600)=0.05, D2=2-D1=1.95, T=D/V=1.95/60=0.0325hx3600=117s, 117+6=123
