I was doing the problems along side you solving them. It actually gave me the confidence in myself, because it took me pretty much the same time per question to solve with the same accuracy as yours. The skipping method is so helpful. I will use it in the real test. Thank you for this video :)

hi there! whenever i do timed qr im always slow and miss out on a lot of questions, i try using the calculator shortcuts and do mental maths where i can but i still feel so slow and really want to improve, also i find that i dont seem to understand the questions well when i do it timed but then when i look at the same thing but with no time limit i am able to understand. do you have any tips on this
keep practicing without time pressure to build up your maths ability, focus on one question type at a time (eg. speed distance time) and build up your speed with that. Do this systematically for the different types you see on the test
Hey! I had the same issue, but then I bought a separate keyboard to attach to my laptop that really sped up my calculations and this is what you’ll be given in the actual ucat as well! like Emil said, skip and learn to recognise impossible questions (anything that looks like it’ll take too long, eg you have a big set of data and you’re asked to calculator average, this is not hard BUT takes very long) guess and flag and review at the end. Also, most of the easy questions are at the end or middle, they are out there on purpose so don’t get stumped on hard questions at the start!
@@jabirella1865 dw, me and all my friends who have done the ucat so far got much more on the real thing than on medify mocks (for example 2600 on mocks to 3000+ in the real thing, 2400 on mocks to 2700 in the real thing, etc)
Thank you for this video🙏🏾. For question 4 I got C by calculating the sum of each individual speed (0-30secs, 30-60secs, 60-70secs) and dividing the sum by 3. Is this method correct? Or am I supposed to do 600m/70secs?
Hey Emil, thank you for the great video! Appreciate all the work you’ve put into these videos :) For question 8, could you please explain how you got 150:300 without much calculation? As I thought we would have to do 150-60/60 : 200-50/50 ? Thank you! This is at 18:02
Emil, how do you know when you don’t have to account for different things when taking averages. For example the 48 units of A to each Warehouse with different prices per unit, u ignored the ‘48 units’ part of Q and got it right. I feel like many times I spend a heap of time on questions like this (on medentry) bc I cannot determine where her something like that matters or not. The other common example of this type is to do with marks/percentages a person gets for a subject WHEN they include the weightings for each test. Any guidance on what u look for that allows u within seconds to say this doesn’t matter would be greatly appreciated. Ur the reason I bought medentry !!!! I love ur content
Hi Tyler! It's important to build a strong fundamental understanding of what it is that you're calculating. With the warehouse question, I realised that I would have to multiply every number by 48 anyway, so there was no point doing that, as I was calculating an average. Whenever you encounter those questions, it's important to review them carefully to understand why you weren't able to see the easiest answer straightaway!
Hey Emil Eddy! How are you? Quick Question~ During the actual UCAT are we allowed paper to work on? Btw Love ur videos, it is so helpful since my test is in less than a month. Wish me luck!

I just knew that 150 was 2.5 times 60 (150% increase) and that 200 was 4 times 50 (300% increase). From there it's easy to get 150:300 ratio
You are incredible
2:38 do you mind explaining how you got to the answer of 300% if it was 4 times?
100% more means "two times more" Hence, 300% is 4 times more.
@@DizzyArt I still don’t fully understand that sorry?
You would add another ‘300%’ to the answer 3.33 to get 13.3. So essentially all together it is 400% but it is what is being added to it
I feel so dumped 😭 I'm a foreigner and really suck with how calculated
5:16 Q12 you looked at the english column instead of the physics column
Hi @EmilEddy, in question 9 why do you divide the answer 69 by 2?
please reply,
Thanks.
He did the average % which is out of 100, so he needed to make it out of 50 so it would need to be halved to get the right answer

at 2:39 he says speed has changed 4 times based on the fact that the slope has changed 4 times but why does he say 3 times at the end?
Although there are 4 different speeds, there are only 3 actual changes in speed i.e. speed 1 (change) speed 2 (change) speed 3 (change) speed 4
SUPER HELPFUL
would be nice to see a strategy that didn't work very well

Convert from seconds to hour by X60 for get mins then x60 again for hours = X3600
