Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is another Guy Richie movie. Some of the same cast, set in same time and area as Snatch, another Web of interlocking plots and the same dark humour and wit throughout. I guarantee you'll love it as much as we love your reactions ❤

You should check out Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels which is similar to Snatch and also Directed by Guy Ritchie, who is English btw. You should also check out The Gentleman which is also Guy Ritchie and is also quite similar. RocknRolla is also Guy Ritchie and also similar.
Another great English Director is Matthew Vaughn and his best movie is The Kingsman: Secret Service which is well worth watching. He also Produced Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels for Guy Ritchie. Kick Ass and Layer Cake are two other movies Directed by Matthew Vaughn which are well worth watching. They have all got that fast paced witty English humour like you saw in Snatch.
Incidentally Christopher Nolan is also English and has Directed some great movies,Tenet, Dunkirk, Interstellar, Inception and Oppenheimer which came out this year, all are definitely worth watching.
England has some really great Directors at the moment and as well as Guy Ritchie, Matthew Vaughn and Christopher Nolan you should check out Paul King who directed Paddington 1 and 2 which are great family films with a more light-hearted feel...great for watching at Christmas!
England has the best Directors on the planet at the moment and Edgar Wright is also English and Directed and co wrote Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End with Simon Pegg and Directed Baby Driver and Scott Pilgrim vs the World.
If you haven't seen any of these movies I've mentioned by all of these great English Directors you should check them out.
Start with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels though, it's as good as Snatch in my and many peoples opinion. 😁😁

I honestly can't believe this is your first Guy Ritchie outing, I coulda sworn you'd already seen a few before. The good news for you is that Snatch is the overflow of the script that the director/writer couldn't fit in his prior (first) film, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, so you still get to look forward to that gem.
Camaraderie and the classes, that's what I've consistently gotten from his films, with humour and a master's touch in craftwork. Man from UNCLE, Rock'n'Rolla, the Sherlock flicks... you have so much amazing fun flicks still to come :D
And if you want a nice calm/chill, laid back Brad Pitt flick, then please try David Fincher's Benjamin Button :)

He's quite a unique director ('the British Tarantino' is what he's sometimes called). He's also done two Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law with his, hm, original take on the story.
To answer your question, Brad Pitt was just finished filming Fight Club when he heard that Guy Ritchie was doing a new movie, and he was such a big fan of Ritchie's debut movie (Lock, Stock...) that he offered to star in this one for essentially peanuts.

This movie was made after Guy Richies debut movie: Lock stock and two smoking barrels. It was a huge succes and Bratt Pitt called him for a role (after fight club) so this movie in the planning stage, got rewritten so Bratt Pitt got a larger role. It is said that to mask Pritts American accent he played a gypsy. Thus a must see movie is: Lock stock and two smoking barrels. Same style criminal humourous story with many of the same cast in a different role.

As for similar movies, here's a list of great crime/dark-comedy, with a similar "vibe", with most of them having a great soundtrack/setlist as well:
    - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998)
1st Guy Ritchie movie, arguably better than Snatch.
    - Seven Psychopaths (2012)
By Martin McDonagh, British as well, AMAZING director, with Sam Rockwell, Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson
    - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005)
By Shane Black, one of the funniest Hollywood screenwriter, with Robert Downey Jr., Val Kilmer, Michelle Monaghan
    - The Hateful Eight (2015)
Tarantino, one location, who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, with Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Channing Tatum
    - Matchstick Men (2003)
By Ridley Scott, a great "con" movie, who has which intention, with Nicolas Cage, Sam Rockwell

_"Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"_ is another Guy Ritchie movie with a very similar vibe, the same sort of comedy, and a lot of the same actors. I highly recommend it.

Actually, if you want something similar, "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" is a natural fit.
Same director, same genre, same setting, same sense of humor, even some of the same cast. ;)

Lock stock & two smoking barrells is Guy Ritchies previous movie to this one. People have recommended it in the comments and a i absolutely agree. There is a film titled Bullet Train that came out in 2022 starring Brad Pitt and to me it kind of feels like a distant cousin of Snatch so i recommend that one too.

@3:25 pretty sure that is Benicio Del Toro not Brad Pitt but I'm not 100 percent sure. My wife always calls Benicio the "Latin Brad Pitt." @5:55 - Again that is Benicio del Toro (you saw him in Siccario as "Alejandro" aka "Medellin." And I am with you 100% Mary, watching this movie without subtitles on is IMPOSSIBLE!!! Lol!

    Hmm, similar movies:
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.
    Stretching it a bit
The Italian Job (1969), classic Michael Caine comedy crime caper. Then contrast with Get Carter (1971), for a darker gangster movie. If you like that, A Long Good Friday (1980).
I'd also recommend Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys.

The original DVD edition had a nice easter egg. When selected, you were asked whether you were "easily offended". Then you were presented a 90 seconds Snatch trailer of "some of the best swearing and gunfire in contemporary British cinema". The "clean" version consisted of virtually 90 seconds of beeping. I believe you'll find the unclean version here on YT under "snatch fuck".

Two films I know have similar vibes as this, Martin McDonagh's Seven Psychopaths from 2012, and Bullet Train from last year. Really entertaining crime comedies both.
EDIT: McDonagh's first film, In Bruges (also "Snatchlike") takes place in Belgium.
