Thank you! We didn' t make another one because it's pretty the same way using Windows and iOS versions.😄 But maybe we can make it in the other version next time.

I hate to say it, but I am a new Snapmaker 2 owner, I used to work with Cura before getting this printer and in comparison, Luban is a terrible, _terrible_ slicer. Unintuitive, cumbersome, terrible workflow.
Which begins with the settings, apparently there is no way to simply have a 'show all setting options' checkbox, no, one actually seems to have to click every. single. checkbox for every. single. option if I want that. And of course, there is no 'search' option in case you are trying to find a specific option. 'Fan Speed Override' just vanished from the settings, despite being activated. And when you have activated everything, apparently there are no drop-down menus, nope, just one looong list.
No option to customize things like the fan speed - I am printing TPU and want to adjust the fan speed, with the fan turned off for the first three layers and getting switched on at layer four. Nope, not an option. Where do I find the options for z-hp, flow, retraction speed and a ton of other things? Again, a 'search' function would be helpful, but so far, I am searching for _that_ as well.
Custom supports? Not an option. Support blockers? Not an option. Showing the actual size of the model in, let's say centimeters? Not there, because why would one need that.
I wish I could simply do the slicing part with Cura and then just import it to Luban in order to send it to the printer, but nope, since Cura saves projects only as Gcode (which is a flaw as well), Luban won't accept it. So I created a Gcode in Cura that deactivates the fan when printing the first three layers and the printer just... prints the whole thing with the fan deactivated.
Again, I hate to say it, but after just one week working with Luban, although 'struggling' would be the better word here, I begin to actually hate this software. How can one create such an amazing 3-in-1 printer and then mess up so thoroughly when making the slicer?

So it looks like you didn’t add the option to scale to a specific size, eg. 200mm high? Why not have percent scaling and unit scaling side by side like Cura? Seriously it’s not a big ask and it would be quite helpful. Anyway, looks like I’m still using Cura.

    • @Snapmaker

That would be indeed useful! Thank you for your tip!

@@Snapmaker thanks again. I’ve been asking for this in the forums as well. It’s very helpful if I didn’t create the .stl files and I just need to make sure they are scaled to the required unit dimensions before sending to print.

Any plans to add the slicer option in Laban to print using 2 different colors in one module.

Sure! Will come with a dual-extruder printer head in the future!

I thought having to disconnect after sending your file was a bug is that an actual feature? I liked being able to see what was going on in real time on my workspace without having to fiddle with it more

Hi. After you send your g-code to your machine, you got two ways to start printing. One is to disconnect, and open the file on the touchscreen. The other is to click RUN button and start printing right away, so that you can see how it works in Luban.

does it not have a CAD feature or do I have to use an external software?

You can do some simple designing in Luban-drawing basic shapes or adding text for example.

Good update! But this new 4.0 version is set as beta phase and it's not available as the last stable version, which is 3.15.2

It's available as a stable release now. You can download it from luban.xyz, or from the official site here: www.snapmaker.com/product/snapmaker-2/downloads
