Marc 3DP, you have been such a big inspiration for me, and so many of the designs you feature in your videos have been so useful as a gift, or something around the house. I watch your videos all the time, and I do not regret getting a 3D printer, because of all the fun designs you show everyone.
Printers today are really good now since I first got into it. No more worry about Z offsets. Faster speeds. It's great. I got two of the K1 max printers. This printer you showed looks really cool too. Might get one for small detailed prints with a 0.2 nozzle
Hey! This 3D printing concept is getting wild! Instead of the usual filament, what if we built objects layer-by-layer from the inside out? Imagine a spinning container where we spray a special resin or even tiny wires, one layer at a time, with a UV light to cure it all in place. We could even have a robotic arm pick and place small components inside as we build! This way, we could create objects with different materials on the inside and outside, or even sneaky compartments hidden within. It's like building a treasure chest layer by layer! This might be a simpler way to get started with this "inside-out 3D printing" idea. What do you think? Could this be a cool new way to make things?
Hello! Thank you very much for sharing all of these useful things, they really are! Can I please ask for some names? Marco, Adriana, Lety, Edith, Orion, Mairan, Manuel? I know they are a lot but I just got my printer two weeks ago and I'm still away from designing stuff they way you do. Also, can yo tell me what's the brand of the filament you used for the name? It looks real good, all shiny!
I printed the card holder but the pieces got stuck together can you please explain how yours moved immediately after you took it out of the printer thank you
I'd rather not use 3d print filament for anything entering my mouth (credit card cutlery). While I get that it's cheap and something meant to be used as a rare/emergency alternative, there's also no shortage of EDC cutlery that IS safe to put in your mouth.
Czyli rozumiem, że można pisać komentarze po polsku ;) Nah, just kidding. Very nice ideas, especially door stopper. Is there any "beginner" printer which you can propose? I have no experience at all, just watching videos
Pozdrawiam :)
I don't see why you couldn't scale it up. Reorient it so it prints vertically standing on its flat back side and you could also squeeze some more size out of this by printing this diagonally on the bed as well. This particular print would probably need supports, but remixing it so the front sides are angled more could eliminate that need.
@@dosdont Um... what? I was just suggesting how one could make the print larger based on the suggestion in your comment. Just about every 3D printer is taller than it is wide, so printing this in the vertical direction will get you a longer shelf. I wasn't trying to be condescending.
@@zecuse What I thought you meant is to edit the file with software, which I don't know how to use. Just changing the size of the part will also increase the size of the screw holes, if there's a way to scale it up without changing the screw holes, again I don't know how to do that. I guess I could use the right size washers in order to keep the screws small but it's not that big a deal. Anyway, not offense meant or taken. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@dosdont 3D prints are usually shared as STL files that you'd have to throw in a slicer to get gcode for. This is because everyone's printer will have unique calibration settings that no one can account for if they shared their own sliced gcode. Actual 3D printed threads are possible, but at that size, they're pretty hard to successfully print without a very small nozzle. Looking at the video again and checking out the print's Cults3D page, those holes won't actually be threaded. Standing it up and stretching it along the vertical axis (fairly simple operation in any slicer) will make those holes and edge slightly thicker, but no where near the point that you couldn't still get a screw through them and into the wall. The video used some kind of double sided tape while the images on the Cults3D page show 2 flat head screws. A longer tray will put more torque on the tape, so using screws would be better. Ideally, you'd put heat set inserts in those holes (soldering iron works great for this) because threading through the plastic will weaken it. Based on the images on the Cults3D page, there's a small lip to catch the head of a flat head screw anyway which still shouldn't be a problem with a slightly thicker edge.

I agree. Printers currently are much better and especially much faster than even 2-3 years ago. It's good idea with this 0.2 nozzle, thanks 🙂
@@Marc3DP Thanks for the videos. I've been binge watching them and printing some of the models. Awesome ideas

at 4:35 for some reason the sizes are literally centimeters off and it wont fit why is this happening and how do i fix it
