  • The tracks are the isolated tracks from Guitar Hero. I've messed with the mixing in the beginning to give you an idea of my track sitting in the mix. The original bass track has been removed. The bass you hear is my playing with the VT Bass pedal going into GarageBand.
It's a little tricky to turn my tone knob down and pull the Hipshot D-Tuner at the same time! You may notice at 1:37
I was messing around with the Tech 21 VT Bass pedal and decided to record this.
The Bass is a Warmoth Jazz Body with a Fender 62 Reissue Neck and Dark Star Pickups.

What a killer sound and playing man! I couldn't tell if Juan had his bass in drop D for this, because that riff seems impossible to play in drop D. I tried to transcribe and learn to play it in DGCF (whole step down) because that second part uses the drop D. I also realized there was an open E in that triplet/breakdown riff part which would make it very difficult to play in DGCF. This cover has been a lot of help, and I really enjoyed your playing! Keep it up!

Those dark stars sound just so killer. Really.... I have same body and neck, and about the same right/left hand touch, same pedal... this really makes me gas for dark stars. :)

Do you mean he was pretending to be Juan the whole time? lol, I can only assume that was a jab at his live performance, I dunno, not really disliking anything about the 100+ bootlegs I've heard.
