This is the single version. The album version is three times as long and waaaaay better. Also Cygnus... Vismund Cygnus is a must from TMV! Their Frances the Mute album is a masterpiece, Deloused as well. Amazing band.

One of my favorite drummers (Dave Elitch) was called to try out for this gig when he was 26, and he has a story about this song that I love. TMV is notorious for their wild intense drum parts, but Dave got the gig based on his playing in this song. Everybody who got called was able to shred and go nuts on the kit, but Dave locked in on the groove in this song better than anybody else, and that’s when the band knew he was the guy. It’s all about that undeniable feel, not flash and blazing speed.
3 weeks later he was playing in front of 20000 people in stadiums across the world. There is a drum cam video of him in Sydney playing with ‘em. He’s a beast.

I heard someone mention it before, and I'm commenting this before I watch the video so you might mention it too, but I think it's very neat from a songwriting perspective that the Latin instrumentals feature English lyrics, while the bits that sound more like a traditional American hard rock song feature Spanish lyrics. Nice symmetry.

The piano was Larry Harlow of Fania All-Stars. Legend. You were spot on with your Puerto Rico guess. Omar Rodriguez-Lopez the guitarist and his brother, the percussionist are of Puerto Rican descent.

Hell yeah. You pick the BEST SONGS of all the reaction channels. Just don't be afraid to add whatever you want. Commenting on the technical aspects won't hurt as long as you add the more basic commentary alongside it. That's how the new fans will grow to understand at a deeper level.

This album (Frances the Mute) is a masterpiece. If you get a chance to sit down and take in the whole thing at once, it's definitely worth doing. It's a concept album with a (cryptic) story, so there are interwoven motifs to pick up on.

When you getting to Rishloo. Think you will find it amazing . Breakdown some Fleetwood Mac sometime, your choice . Revisit the Okeefe school with the kids . Amazing Amazing Amazing. Check out more Tool covers or them doing Black Label Society or Dream Theater. Listening to Mars with you. Not my usually ... Big ol coffee coming brother. Keep it up, your teaching me the ONE! Roulette Dares - Deloused in the Comatorium. Flea from RHCP played most of the session base on this album
Miranda That Ghost Just Isn't Holy Anymore - Frances the Mute. The legendary Wayne Bergeron played session trumpet in this piece
    Tetragrammaton - Amputechture. Exceptional
