Wheat parotta is also very tasty and healthy. It also uses bit of ghee to form the layers, as ghee is healthier as well. Less effort and time too. I make wheat parottas in less than an hour. Resting time just 10min. To make 6 wheat parottas is takes 40min or so. knead roll flatten and cook. This maida takes hours of resting time and needs experience and more effort to properly shape and cook.

@@BC999 My info is scientific. Wholewheat is rich in fibre low calorie and good for health. All doctors advise diabetic patients to eat roti more instead of rice. Maida is NOT wholewheat. It is processed and different. It takes a minimum of 8 hours to digest maida parotta. Ask any doctor if maida is good for you. They will say no.

The only difference between whole wheat and maida is that the latter is so refined that it loses even some of the fiber that is in the whole wheat. If someone is very healthy without even a mild symptom like heartburn, and under 20, then yes, consuming maida in very limited quantity and whole wheat in moderation will not produce any harmful effect, but certainly wheat in any form is NOT FOR OTHERS.
