Hello Friends! Im so sorry about the audio! I'm not sure why it uploaded this way but apologize for the sound. But its only that way during the first section, if you can make it through that.
Hi Keci. a suggestion - i do what i call crafting sprints. i set a 20 min timer on my watch and switch projects every 20 mins. That way i can knit on things that might aggravate my hands or elbows, but also get a bit of everything done on my 6 wips. Its also bloody fun! :)
I'm glad you gave your hands a break. I need to do the same when working with 100% cotton or linen. Or even socks (dense fabric). Much better to not give yourself an injury and not be able to knit for ages. Thanks for sharing. :)
Hi Kaci! I love these type of episodes where you aren't sure or are going to decide later, but then in the same episode it's later and we get to hear what you decided! I guess I just like the "filmed over a couple of days" type episodes....they're interesting and seeing real time progress and decisions is fun!!!
Girl, you have so many beautiful sweaters that you’ve made. Just pick one or two of those and stop stressing yourself out. Throw on a pair of jeans or linen pants and go! You’ll have a blast no matter what you’re wearing.
Stop working the cotton lace vest NOW! I know from experience it can become a life long issue, if not surgery, to fix. You can always pick it up and work on it a row at a time in the future, giving your hands a rest in between. I love the podcast.. You are beautiful🌷
Hi Kaci, Take heart, that weather forecast for Rhinebeck is made with averages - it's not the actual forecast. So you still might get to wear your warmer knits OR you might be roasting - ha, ha, ha. I remember one year it was the "tale of two seasons" - Saturday was in the low 80s and Sunday was in the upper 40s with snow flurries. You just never can tell until a few days before. The northeast in the fall is always unpredictable.
If you are flying into NY on the 19th please stop by my lys, Pick Up Every Stitch in Mt. Kisco on your way up to Rhinebeck. Rachelle from Moondrake Yarn will be having a trunk show that day with all of her gorgeous bases including a new yarn release. And I know your buddy Megha is planning on coming. It's going to be a fun warm up with gorgeous yarn and lots of fiber love! And it's literally on the Road to Rhinebeck. Would love to meet you irl!
@@YoungfolkKnits PUES will be open until 6, trunk show is until 4. But we are only about an hour’s drive from The airports. We are having finger food catered and there’s lots of lunch places walking distance from the shop. Hope you come! I adore your podcast and would love to see your knits irl!
I live in NYC and I'm waiting until closer to the weekend for a more accurate temperature check (including humidity). It's like spring, where the weather hasn't quite settled yet, so it can go either way. See everyone at Wool & Folk! I'm bringing the musicians and they are AMAZING!!
All your test knits inspire me. I keep wanting to do one but am afraid I wouldn’t be able to finish. Someday I will Take the plunge. A good choice putting the cotton one down. Good luck with the new project and, sorry don’t remember the name. I am working on my Rhinebeck sweater as well. On sleeve island. So of course I am working on a different sweater. Have to bite the bullet wand get those sleeves done. You are such an inspiration.
So many gorgeous knits as usual 😍 I think you absolutely made the right call in switching projects as the last thing you want to do is injure yourself and heaven forbid not be able to knit. I did this and was unable to knit for just one day and lemme tell you, it felt like FOREVER 😂
Hey. I feel you with this cotton vest. I cast oon a lovely shirt by yarnflakes in linen cotton. And its so hard on my hands. But worse she tortures me with twisted backloop stitches abd cables in this yarn. Not sure if I continue. For now it's in the naughty corner. I am sure you have enough things knitted this year you can wear for Rhinebeck. Just pull them out and create an outfit around your Fos. Will probably be fun as well. Your food looks delicious but having a parasite in my stomach not being able to eat anything more then plain potatoes, rice and dal i was a bit jealous. Hope you enjoyed it a lot. Working through sleeve Island watching. Have a lovely day
I totally get the soreness in fingers and needing to take a rest. The vest looks fabulous, I hope you can persevere and finish it for the festival. Thx for another great podcast 🧶👍
First time I noticed this…but your intro reminds me of the TV show “Haven”s intro 😳 slight chills 😂😂…sorry random! 🐿️ It’s starting to cool a bit here in KY, loving the weather 😍
Beautiful knits as always Kaci! I love all your project. Resisting the cast on urge is definitely a weakness for me too! 😂The struggle is real. Have a wonderful weekend friend! 🥰🧶
You will look fantastic in whatever you choose to wear Kaci! Enjoy the Sheep and Wool Fest to the fullest! I haven't been there since 2005- we have the MD sheep and wool fest in my state, so that satisfies my needs. Wow, that lunch is spectacular! You are so talented !My family makes do with ham sandwiches or pbj for lunch!
I also am half way through the rosenlund top and had to take a break because of my hands. I am using 100% silk and it’s hard to knit. I switched to the Louvre sweater and love it so far.
Loved this episode so much, really enjoy the vlog style part of your knitting adventures! 😍 I am *totally* not panicking even more about finishing my cardigan after watching this 😂 Can’t wait to see how your test knits turn out and meeting you in NY!
I am simply OBSESSED with your Alder sweater! It looks so good! I’m gonna have to knit myself one of those once the pattern releases, nvm that where I live is hotter than the depths of hell :’) Glad you chose to take a break from the Rosenlund, it’s definitely not worth it to risk a serious injury. I’m sure whatever you end up wearing to Rhinebeck will look amazing!
totally unrelated to the knits in this video, but I just bought the knitting for olive book in english and it has the barbroe blouse! it is on sale in the czech republic so it should also be in the us (i actually bought the book because of the pattern) love to see what's your progress there and give you the heads up for the english version!
Hi Kaci - thanks you for your wonderfully inspiring podcasts - I look forward to each one with anticipation. You are very talented!! I also love your selection of music. I particularly love the music at the beginning of this podcast which begins at 29 seconds & ends at 1.14 seconds. Could you please tell us the title of the music? Thank you so much!! :)

It is a little buzzy like maybe your bees are singing along with you, lol. No worries, Kaci, just glad it's not my headphones acting up!
Whew! So glad you noticed it. I didn't want to say anything first 😅. Love, love, love your vlogs. My husband even knows you by name!
I thought maybe it was my phone, so just glad it’s not that!
Your smile and smiling eyes more than make up for technical issues - and that's a fact! Sure appreciate your video content.

We eat our big meal for lunch and then very lightly for dinner 😉
My vote is for the Alder, you can always tie it around your shoulders and wear a tee if it’s too hot.
Good idea
It will be interesting to see what you actually finish and wear to Rhinebeck! 😂
It will be interesting to me too 😂
Girl, I feel you on the 100% cotton - it’s a hand slayer!! Good luck on your Cardi!! If anyone can do it, it’s you!!!
Thanks!
It’s so tough on the hands
Hello from Mounds, Illinois.

Yes! Can’t wait to see your thoughts and get that on the needles!
Oh that test kit is gorgeous, do you think it could be changed to a vest?
I love it as a vest except I think the sleeves were a bit long when I split
Hi Kaci - thanks you for your wonderfully inspiring podcasts - I look forward to each one with anticipation. You are very talented!!
I also love your selection of music. I particularly love the music at the beginning of this podcast which begins at 29 seconds & ends at 1.14 seconds. Could you please tell us the title of the music? Thank you so much!! :)
Hi Kaci, I have a suggestion . When casting on with Suri yarn wear a mask. You probably have some left over . Good luck!
Great idea!! I may do that
I love your chatty podcasts! So much inspiration. Where did you purchase the pattern for the artisane cardigan? I can't find it online. X
I bought a kit for a sweater out of that volume and purchased the book at mother knitter
Hi! I love your podcasts and you! How can I get a pattern for Artisane cardigan ?? Please help!! ❤
You probably have to buy a kit where Sandnes garn yarn is sold like mother knitter. I bought a kit a for a sweater out of this volume
I love your knit choices. What happened to your Tessellated Vest?🌸💕
I’m going to take it for the picture!
Hi kaci 😊 where did you purchase the pattern for the sandnes garn cardigan pattern?
I got a kit for a different sweater out of this volume and so I was able to purchase the book. Mother knitter has them available
Well your lunch beats my bpj
😂
Re your cotton vest: Just say no. Stop now. No sense in giving yourself permanent injury. Just my $.02. But, you do you!
So true! 😢
Hope to see you at Rhinebeck 😀🍁🧶🍁🧶
Yay!!!!!
