    I was desperate to get this book too and had friends try to source for me in London and Copenhagen without success. Just found it and bought it from the Woolly Thistle, so individual buyers in the US can now spare themselves the big shipping costs from Europe. 🎉

    I think you might mean Guttering. Rowing out only happens on the edges from excess yarn collecting as you work across the row. Guttering tends to happen when you knit/purl at different tensions in flat stockinet. Also, I enjoy your videos and thank you.

    I want to recommend modifying the border of the Pressed Flowers Shawl. It's really fun if you continue with the same motif but flip the two colors. You just have to do a couple of rows plain with no increases first. I didn't like the look of her original border. I'm nycraft on ravelry, go take a look at the FO and I put the mods in the notes. Hoping to cast on the pullover for your kal!

    That first braid is so beautiful. I've wanted Sari Norland's book but the shipping is so much and I don't have anyone to buy it with. Alas, I was hoping the Wooly Thistle would bring it in but not yet. I'll be holding out for some suppliers in the US to carry it. The Cormo is stunning. I bought some Finn at Rhinebeck and it is a dream to spin.

    • @YoungfolkKnits
      @YoungfolkKnits  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think multiple places had it as a preorder but it sold out. Not to worry tho as I am sure they will all restock it soon. A few places to watch besides the woolly thistle- La Mercerie, Wool & Company.

    I am not understanding the word you are using in regards to purl row using smaller size needle. Are you saying rolling out?

    • @YoungfolkKnits
      @YoungfolkKnits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m actually saying “rowing out”. It’s when your knit and purl rows in stockinette are at different gauges and creates a visible difference in each row.
