Dear Rebecca, I cannot believe its only been a year that you‘ve been putting your designs out. You created SO much this past year. Stupendous. Congratulations!!😮😊🎉 Congratulations also on your boat, how exciting!! I live in Berlin, directly on the river - before I moved here I had absolutely no idea how many avid boaters there are in this city. I do not sail myself, sadly, but there is nothing I enjoy more than sitting on my balcony, knitting and watching all the beautiful little and big ships sail by. Enjoy!! ❤
You are Miss Creavity personified!! I simply love your tatoo and congratulations upon completing a year. Look forward to your podcasts and all your beautiful designs!
Lots of congratulations are in order, your wonderful year of pattern designs, your magazine projects, your tattoo and now you and Sam have a sailboat. You are an amazing woman and I wish you many many more years of success. I find that I'm always waiting to see what I will be knitting next when I tune in to the podcast😁.
love the new colorworks you are working on. You are becoming one of my favorite designers! So pretty, can't wait to see the final. Love the green color with the cream.
The Rhue looks AMAZING! Perfect Mrs Weasley Vibes, and i can relate being in my colourwork era atm!! Loving all things colourwork and almost modern traditional if that is a thing!
Congrats on the boat and the tattoo! Looking forward to the release of the Stick Season sweater and Rhue sweater. What a prolific year you've had in design.
You are such a likable person! One of my favorite knitting pods to watch. I am definitely going to be knitting your alder sweater and I also plan on doing the sticks as well.
I very much enjoyed hearing you speak about your creative process. It's impressive and admirable that you think of others and donate to causes that matter to you. I just bought the Alder pattern: looking forward to casting on for it!
Oooooh! Your daft days cardigan is DEFINITELY one im going to get!! And im getting Charlottes SADvent this January!!👏 congratulations on your first year of designing! WOW!! You've made stunning designs, you should be gery Very proud of yourself 🎉
Loving your podcast so much! I've spent the last 2ish months trying to catch up from the beginning and I finally made it! Now I have to wait for the next episode like everyone else 🥳
Such a beautifull patern ! Just want to knit it since i first saw it in your podcast ! Congratulations for your first year of design 🎉 love what you do and design
Love the tattoo ! I don't believe you can be crafty without being creative , and who on this earth is more creative than you are ? Well done on releasing all your patterns xxx
Buying a sailboat is my long term goal. Congrats on that, and Alder release, and also reclaiming your creativity! I can't believe anyone told you that you weren't, so ridiculous, glad it's in the rear view now!
Congratulations on the Alder release. I hoping to buy yarn at Beautiful Knitters in London when I visit for the first time in a few days ! I’m so excited! Enjoy Rhinebeck. I hope to go some year. I love the tattoo!
Congratulations on one year of designing! The Alder Sweater is magnificent. The unspun yarn sweater I've been meaning to knit next has gotten bumped back 4 times now. The Alder Sweater may just bump it back one more time! But then there's the Tolsta which I'm also in love with. Let's see what comes first.
I have been a fan of the podcast since the first episode. I have couple of your patterns, right now I am working on Leith cardigan. But Alder is the one I've been waiting for the most ! :D
Congratulations on one year of designing. It’s been really fun to follow your progress as a designer, and I think your designs are all thoughtful and very wearable and pretty. I think your tattoo was a neat way to commemorate your first year and getting to appreciate your creative side more.
Congratulations! What an amazing year. I love all your designs and have just bought the Alder - just have to decide which colours to choose. So many options! And have fun on your new boat - amazing :)
Love the tattoo! Interestingly I have a tattoo of a sailboat but I have never sailed lol (it’s in honor of my grandfather). Congrats on the Alder release and I’m looking forward to all of the other exciting things you have coming soon!!
Congratulations on one year of designing! All your patterns are amazing, you should be really proud of yourself! Also, I love your tattoo! I have lots of tattoos, and I've been wanting to get one to do with knitting for ages but didn't know exactly what. Anyway, yours is perfect and looks so cool!
I’m pretty late to the party here, I’ve only been watching your channel for a few months. I found and purchased your Tolsta Tee. It was a good way to use up some cotton yarn from a mystery yarn bag. Just finished it today and I love it. It’s very South West USA. Think Red rocks and blue sky 😃 much like Garden of the Gods here in Colorado. Any how, love the pattern and I can’t wait to try another from you! Thanks so much! PS this was my first raglan construction garment ❤️
Oh that blue and white colourwork is eye catching. 😻😻. I really like that and can’t wait to see the rest of it. 😊🤗 And the jumper 😍. I’m in colourwork mode at the mo. I want to knit them all. Congratulations on the release of the Alder. 👏👏👏 I have it in my favourites on ravelry. I have Christmas knits in progress and i need to make a baby blanket as a gift. After that i want to cast on another Kerr as that is my favourite jumper i hv made so far. Xx
Congrats on another beautiful design! Looking forward to seeing you at Pick Up Every Stitch. I'll have my Tolsta there as a sample at the shop. Wait until you see all the gorgeous yarn!
So I’m going to Rhinebeck for the first time in a few weeks and was looking for the perfect project to intentionally buy “special yarn” there and this alder sweater is it!! Thanks!, PS I’m knitting some socks right now from special yarn I bought in Perth last years festival when I visited Scotland last year ( best trip in my life!!)
Congratulations on your designing anniversary! I remember you talking about your first design, that it was a one time thing. Somehow I knew you wouldn’t stop at one. But you have done so much in such a short time. I love the combination of your creativity and your project management skills. It must be so satisfying to have the ideas and then to be able to deliver them according to plan. I love watching you put it all together. Also congratulations on the boat!
Every pattern you release, I say “THAT’S my favorite!” but possible-Rhue is definitely my favorite. Looking forward to that release and seeing what else you come up with.
Congrats on the release of the Alder and on the purchase of your boat. We had a 21 foot sail boat when our older kids were little. It was fun to camp on it and sail around Kootenays Lake in B.C. The baby presented many challenges and I ended up spending too much time below deck keeping her safe and then we had more babies…so we abandoned the idea. You will have so much fun on your boat! Enjoy!
To be honest, I can't wait for some sweater/cardigan called after your cute boat! I don't know why but I'm seeing something in rusty orange for spring -- thought i'd share that thought ;) Congratulations on the new pattern, your boat and omg your tattoo!
The Daft Days shawl would look great in mohair stripes I have leftovers from a MOHAIR advent I’m going to use when you. release it. NBK did a mohair advent last year, think it was a one off BUT OOOOH what a treat.
Congrats on the Alder release, I'm off to get my pattern. Also congrats on your year anniversary of your 1st pattern release. I'm so excited about your boat news and hope you have many fond sailing days.
Congratulations with your beautiful designs ❤🎉 Do you ever sleep??? You get so much knitting done… it took me a whole day to knit a DK-weight sleeve on needles 4 and you knit one in only 1 evening 😮 Hopefully you can keep on designing ❤❤❤
Michelle here - I love your designs - the Kerr still has my heart though - only because there are Kerrs in my family line - also Lyons and Cunningham. Part of my Scottish heritage comes from Glasgow and the Cruickshank side is from Banff. I love your accent - I am a New Zealander with many cultures in my bloodline...
So exciting about the boat! I thought I would be going to Rhinebeck, was really hoping to meet you and Amy but I now have a work trip to California so I will be missing it. Enjoy fall in northeast US, it’s just beautiful here
We bought a boat (Mic drop)😎 just when I thought this episode couldn't get any better. Congratulations on this whirlwind of a year and thanks so much for letting us ride along. I am so curious to see how you manage to keep track of your brain on fire ideas, I keep imagining books with loads of sketches. Any who I hope you enjoy Rhinebeck & for the record, boat knitting is the best kind ⚓
Congratulations on a brilliant year🎉 I'd love to hear more about your wool spinning adventure and if you've managed to hire a wheel from your local guild (can't they teach you?) And looking forward to your shawl pattern, I have some hand spun wool ready for it once the pattern is out
Happy Alder day. Have you ever thought of designing a slipover/vest or redesigning of of you sweaters into a vest? I love to wear a vest in the winter to keep my core warm but leave my arms free. I’m in New Jersey USA. Have fun at Rhinebeck, it’s crazy! 😅
We are blessed that you became a designer. Thanks for all the wonderful podcasts and designs. I hope to run into you at Rhinebeck. Are you going to be in anyone’s booth or have any meetups on the hill?
Hi Rebecca, funny you talking about how your name Creabea ,was wondering how you had come about it and it’s so interesting ,very very apt for you , lovely tattoo also very apt ,enjoy your trips out in your boat tooooooo, well done to your year of designing knitting ect you are a very clever interesting pod cast maker too xx
Bought pattern early today. Now to find budget friendly yarn to make it in. Sonder seemed pricey. Love all your designs. Can not wait for daft days! I need to knit more and faster!❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was considering Knitpicks gloss 70% merino/ 30% silk, it was about 60% of the cost of Sonder, not exactly the same structure but I think it might work.
Congrats on the sailboat. I’m casting on the Leith cardigan or the Alder or both this fall for sure. When does stick season come out? My question for your next podcast episode or whenever you answer questions about patterns design. When you design your own sweaters where do you start? How do you make your color work charts? What resources do you have for learning the math behind it? My education left me with terrible math skills. I want to take a course on designing my own patterns and grading it and such. Also I’m visiting Scotland over several weeks around Christmas and will hopefully get to visit ginger twist studio in Edinburgh.
Congratulations on the release of the Alder Sweater Rebecca! I just got my copy of the pattern. And I ordered yarn from EKF’s Spain collection last month. Excited to try my first colorwork when the yarn comes in. 😊 Do you draw out your design ideas after you get the inspiration so you don’t lose it? Or do they pretty much stay as you originally imagined until you have the time to knit it out? Or are notes enough to hold the inspiration in your mind? Your tattoo is so cool! I’m so glad you stepped into your creativity this year. It can really trip us up when those closest to us don’t see us the way we see ourselves. But you’ve added so much value and beauty and fun and passion to the world! You are a creative and a creator!!
Je bent echt een Creabea! I was wondering before if Creabea was a Scottish thing as well as a Dutch expression. Congrats on your neverending skein! Love it! Gefeliciteerd for your year of super creativity. Can’t wait to see what the 2nd year will bring! Congrats on the boat. Talking about it made you look happy. Enjoy your water adventures. Groetjes
Hi Rebecca, Congrats on the pattern release! I am so excited that you are coming to Rhinebeck! I hope to see you and exchange stitch markers. I'll be looking for yarn to make a Leith Cardigan and a Tolsta Tee the festivals. I've been knitting for a long time and your patterns and enthusiasm inspire me and I want to cast on all the time BUT I'm working on finishing languishing WIPs this year and will be in a good spot by the time Rhinebeck hits for a purchase or two. Safe travels and hope to see you - will you be at Wool and Folk? or 'on the hill' at a specific time? All the best - Jenn
Congratulations on your first year as designer. Wishing your creativity never stopped growing. My question for you is: I’m not sure if are still working your full time and if so, will you consider be a full time knitter and designer. It most be really hard to work a full time job and create so many beautiful things at the same time.
Oh I love your designs so much 😍, the only thing is that your neckline is to tight and high for me. With some patterns it is adjustable luckaly 😊 When I saw your Adler's first setup, I was inmediatly in love with the pattern and the colours. And when you mentioned at Instagram that it is easy to make a cardigan from it, I was more happy and bought your pattern. I'm going to try to make a Adler Cardigan and hope it is going to work out well 🤞😊.
I've also felt that I wasn't "creative" because I "just" craft. I'm sorry that your friends said that to you. I'm sure they meant well, but it does cut deeply to not be seen for who we are. I have been amazed at the sheer volume of your designs. I have yet to make one, but I will make that a goal for the latter part of this year. Wishing you an even more successful second year of designing 🙏🏿
just bought the pattern its so pretty any idea on a yarn that would work good from a big box store like hobby lobby or micheals ? its such a beautiful pattern it my 1st ever pattern with slip stitches i usually do top down raglan type and im just starting to learn colorwork and that colorwork sweater your making is so beautiful cant wait till its released will it be available to the public?
Oooohhhh! Love, love, love the new Rhue pattern! Maybe I missed it, but is this for a DK or worsted weight yarn? I might need to know which sweater quantity to save out for this one! Thanks! 🤗
Dear Rebecca, I cannot believe its only been a year that you‘ve been putting your designs out. You created SO much this past year. Stupendous. Dear Rebecca, love your new designs, they are brilliant 😊keep up the great work.
So amazing how much you’ve done in the first year of designing! Congrats and here’s to many more years of creativity 💛
17 patterns in 1 year! Congrats !! It is lovely to watch someone's success while they grow into themselves!
love the new colorworks you are working on. You are becoming one of my favorite designers! So pretty, can't wait to see the final. Love the green color with the cream.
Congratulations on the Alder release. I really enjoyed the little bit your did on your design ideas so looking forward to that video.
Congratulations Rebecca! A year…amazing! ❤I’ve watched you from episode 1. Congratulations on your boat!! Have a great trip to Rhinebeck!!!
The Rhue looks AMAZING! Perfect Mrs Weasley Vibes, and i can relate being in my colourwork era atm!! Loving all things colourwork and almost modern traditional if that is a thing!

Congratulations on your first year as a knitwear designer. Pretty action packed. Great way to celebrate: a tattoo and Rhinebeck weekend. Enjoy
What a wonderful year for you, so many fantastic sweater designs from a very creative person. 🇨🇦
I am already in love with the Rhue sweater ... but also glad it won't be out in the coming months 🙈

Who is more creative than you?! Congratulations on an amazing year of beautiful creations. Love the tattoo!
Congratulations on a year of designing! I'm also knitting with Shilasdair currently and loving the yarn too!
Congratulations on your year milestone…your patterns are lovely!
Congratulations on one year of designing! The Alder Sweater is magnificent. The unspun yarn sweater I've been meaning to knit next has gotten bumped back 4 times now. I have been a fan of the podcast since the first episode. I have couple of your patterns, right now I am working on Leith cardigan. But Alder is the one I've been waiting for the most ! :D
The ribbing around the neck looks very good on the grey/green Alder sweater you’re wearing.
Congratulations on one year of designing. It’s been really fun to follow your progress as a designer, and I think your designs are all thoughtful and very wearable and pretty. I think your tattoo was a neat way to commemorate your first year and getting to appreciate your creative side more.
Well done on one year of designing. You have done some amazing projects for us to knit. Thankyou. ❤
I just bought and favorited your lovely Alder sweater. I LOVE that it’s mosaic. You are incredibly creative. Enjoy your sailing weekend!
I’m obsessed with the Alder sweater, especially in that Wildwood colour!!! Hoping to run into you at Rhinebeck!
Your podcasts make me feel cozy. Thank you! I can’t wait for sticks season pattern to come out.

I think your mom deserves the shawl. If my daughter was as talented as you I would be so proud to show it off and wear .. Love the new designs ❤
Have fun at Rhinebeck. It’s a 3 hour and 20 minute drive for me and I still have never made it there.
Congrats on 1 year!

I really like the shawl simple but makes a statement. Another enjoyable episode.
Congrats on another beautiful design! Looking forward to seeing you at Pick Up Every Stitch. I'll have my Tolsta there as a sample at the shop. Wait until you see all the gorgeous yarn!
A caravan with a mast is a very good way to describe any sailing boat under 30ft.

Congrats on the Alder release! Not sure if this is already in the works, but I would LOVE if there were a v neck option for the daft days cardigan!
Congrats on one year of designing!
I've bought the Alder pattern. I've got 6 balls of magenta and 4 balls of grey DK in stash, which should just be enough for a size 7.
Hear me out people…. Daft Days Blanket (just increase and then decrease to make a square). I love it!
An ideas for the shawl- Bluesky Fibers woolstock does these kits with minis and it would look great!!
